Always remember The golden rule, The person who kill you with their stare metaphorically, is second to the person who can do it literally.
I think the golden rule is "Never ally yourself with an evil creature with a higher challenge rating!".
GM: Make a Leadership roll.
Player: 1 (Damn!)
GM: Make an Intimidate roll vs the medusa struck mob’s Sense Motive, you realise that they’ll get a +10 to this because of their number, +5 due to the member being stoned in front of them, +5 for the second medusa they just witnessed being created and a +20 for the scowling medusa standing behind you.
Player: *rolls die* 1… DAMMIT!!
GM: What’s your CMD, by the way?
Do the Snake Shake!
Well considering that the "Gorgon chick" can turn people into stone…
Most everybody here isn’t thinking this through.
"Do you fear me for being me? Or will you fear me more once I’m turned into a Gorgon??"
Then, of course the response from the peanut gallery: Yeah. We totally turn her into a Gorgon. Because she will be so much less dangerous in that form, let’s piss her off by tying her to a rack (upside down so it’s really easy to drink) and forcing her to unwillingly become a Gorgon because ….
Step 3 = profit!! (hilarity and carnage ensue)
Yeah, the answer was kinda obvious – you’d need to be REALLY scary to be feared more than a gorgon.
…it’s for her s(n)ake… so the girls have to do it
That was obvious really. Better to take a small dose of the potion willingly than be forced to take a much larger one (why else would you need a pipe?). Also having been forcibly converted once before, she should know these girls have form.
Nice to see they pre-emptively placed the mask on her (hope they used permanent glue ), an the Lieutenant is doing the deed (still have hope for the LT)
Wonder if she will turn into a full Medusa-type Gorgon with that much Gorgon-juice o_O
What do you regard as a Medusa-type Gorgon?
Snake body, with or without arms
That’s more of a Lamia
Although, admittedly, she doesn’t have snakes for hair.
HEY! RICH! Semi-related … at that segment of the Archive, the "Previous" navigation buttons are disabled. I don’t have time to spot check at the moment, but be aware of it, in case you happen to catch this comment.
Was actually referring to Medusa, one of the three Gorgon Sisters
Thanks for the heads up there.
Also, she’s an evil preistess. What’s not to like about gaining the power to turn people to stone and have snakes for hair? Not thinking clearly here.
So, this is a bit of a change. can anyone remember what the numbers for the old comics that showed the mistress conversion process was?
Believe that was all in this arc, when you saw a hobgoblin girl get turned
No, there was an OLD set of comics that detailed the process…the goblin in this arc is a repeat. they talk about how the suits burn constantly or somesuch. I have been through the keeper arc, but no dice yet.
There’s still a year and a half missing from the archives – between DinSea Princess and Adina’s Voyage of Wisdom. I suppose it’s there somewhere, because I don’t think it was tied in with any other storyline.
It happens in "Mountain Quest", which is after "Adina’s Magical Voyage", which is the next arc to be put up. The numbers for "Mountain Quest" are 2300 to 2415. Celena gets taken at 2362, and the conversion process starts at 2370.
If they are not listed in the archive, is there a way to call up the comics by their number?
If they’re not listed in the archive they aren’t up yet. You might be able to find some of them in the wayback machine, though.
Never ask a question where you don’t want the answer.
Ah. thank you so kindly, Rich. I have been a fan of your work for YEARS.
It will be hard to try seducing any of the gorgons away from their agenda of conversion & destruction. I mean, with all of those snakes on their scalps, there’s nothing a man could whip out that’ll impress them.
