I dunno…
Glon is off-balance, the sword is closer to Jone, and Shaija isn’t fully on top of the ledge yet.
She *is* very prominent in the shot, but I’m thinking… If I wanted to surprise the audience by making them think Shaija’s going to lop off Jone’s head when in reality it’s going to be vice-versa… this is the kind of staging I might use.
t!
We’ve seen Glon go all Jonesy before-when Jone’s mother was poisoned. Interestingly enough-it was an attack on his family. And Jone is technically part of his family.
Hmmm. Either Glon has gotten exceptionally strong of late, or Jone isn’t really trying to hurt him.
There aren’t too many people in the past that have been able to hold their own against Mine when she’s riled up. And she certainly looks pretty ticked off right now!
While Jone was always shown as extremely skilled with a blade and Glon…really isn’t, Glon’s actually shown some real competence in unarmed combat since pretty much his first appearance.
If Jone is able to retrieve her sword, I wouldn’t like his odds, but if she can’t…I think Glon has a serious shot of at least matching her.
When Gruumsh rejected Glon as his chosen one he did so because Glon was too – shall we say, "glandular"? That side of Glon has diminished much after his marriage to the four princesses. He is now much much more mature.
Gruumsh did not question Glon’s fighting spirit or abilities, just his lifestyle back in his harem days.
What I’m trying to say is – I still don’t know whether Glon can defeat Jone, but I’m not surprised he’s holding up so well against her.

I really hate the unkillabe type of characters.
Yeah but makes them scarier.
Shaija to the rescue!

Well, it’s been ten seconds and Glon’s still alive. That’s way better than most people who’ve been up against Jone. : /

Maybe Shaija cutting off Jone’s head with the sword she’d forged herself would work?

Well, Jone now feels pissed and rejected when Glon implied that she wasn’t family anymore. I really don’t see any happy ending for anyone in this.
Oh my god. The look of pain and betrayal on her face in panel 2.
Dammit Rich, why do you make us empathise with your characters so much?
Must…not…
WWWWAAAAGHHH!!

Erm… well… OK, maybe they won’t… 😞
