Who has some theories on who this mystery man is and why he destroyed the surface of Galifrey? I put this up before Rich can put up page 214.

Dalek Tor. He hasn't left the room with the other Doctors. The victory, and everyone heading for the Eye of Orion was all in his head.

That would be the most obvious but I think its the Rani or some other timelord or enemy of galifrey that wants to accelerate the destruction of Galifrey and might be the one who brought all the doctor's together. I have an idea that it could be the Valeyard even though he was killed back in a previous page of the comic. Besides that I think it could be someone very unexpected.

Ok, I think this is more convoluted and complicated than it appears...it's like this:

The person speaking to the Doctor on page 213 is either the Meddling Monk, or that Hermit guy, Kanp'o (sp?), or another random 'good guy' (quotation marks are for the Monk, since I'm not sure if he counts as a good guy...maybe he's a middling guy...anyway). This is not the person who blew up part of Gallifrey, he's just the person coming to tell the Doctor it wasn't his fault. It could even be Maxil, which would be nice for me, because I really like him now.

I think the Monk was the one responsible for bringing all the Doctors together and back to Gallifrey during the time of 8, because that's his thing...he meddles in time. Plus, he both recognized the 10th Doctor, and knew about all his other regenerations wandering around. But that's all he did, just bring them back. He isn't responsible for any of this, except whatever damage he did by messing with the time line like that (which could be significant, really...)

The Valeyard was obviously the one augmenting Daleks with Time Lord technology, not to mention turning Time Lords into Daleks. But he died. I think the person responsible for this explosion is either Dalek Ahn, or one of the Guardians, either White, Black, or somehow both (someone on in the comments section proposed this idea, and I really liked it...don't know who it was, though).

The Black Guardian said he would be back and make the doctor pay for it. Maybe he did it just to torture the doctor.

Now we know - they both just wanted to torture the Doctor!

I had thought they just swept him up into an artificial world of their own making, as they are capable of illusion when they want to be, but it turns out they really were on Gallifrey - just a bit of a twist on where they took his tardis. (page 223)

Actually, since we now know they were in the Death Zone all along and the entirety of Gallifrey was NOT destroyed, we can say NOBODY did it!

Technically (if my understanding of this is correct) the Doctor did it...at least, his 5th regeneration

I'm sure he didn't realize he was blowing himself up though, so we can give him a pass for this one :)

Well...If you wanna get technical about it. Rich did it. Him and his magic pencil. You can tell. It's HIS comic. :wacky:

Peter/5 didn't blow up anything- Flavia -soon to be President- blew up the time scoop equipment used to get the Doctors to the Death Zone in Five Doctors, and the Guardians just played with perspective and sweeping the Doctor away before he could really see what had happened, so it would look like Gallifrey was destroyed.

Tho 8 did end up doing in everyone at the end. But that's years in his future.

How's that for clarity in an answer   :hehe:
