That's not true, it's quite legal to buy audio Doctor Who adventures from Big Finish. That's why they make them.
Oh, I know one can get them for a price. I just don't have any spare :money: for that at the moment. :undecided: I'd been hoping for a library copy, but apparently they're not something my libraries have. *grump*

So yeah. Still need to find a way to get my grubby paws on a copy without breaking the bank. *sigh* May be a while... :crybaby:

How would you like to download a free and LEGAL new Doctor Who audio adventure? It really is free & LEGAL, not a torrent or fileshare :naughty: ! Doctor Who Magazine #411 has a 5-digit code - not one of those unique one-time-only codes that magazines usually print - and you then go to a page on the Big Finish website and then download Mists of Time, read by Katy 'Jo Grant' Manning (just the same as the Companion Chronicles).

The download page is http://www.bigfinish.com/dwm/ and the code is 01795.

Remember, this is a FREE GIVEAWAY!

According to Comcom http://lifetheuniverseandcombom.blogspot.com/2009/09/all-next-week-doctor-who-on-bbc-radio-7.html and verified with by looking at next weeks Radio Times BBC Radio 7 are broadcasting the first series of Paul McGann's Doctor Who radio series (The Lucy Miller stories, produced by Big Finish & also released on CD), at 6pm & 12pm GMT, along with their respective Beyond the Vortex extras interviews straight after, starting Monday 14th September. See the above link for more details. This (should) continue into next week, as Friday's story, Phobos, is not the season finale. Definately worth listening to if you can get it (or stream it from the internet). Starts of with part 1 of Blood of the Daleks!!!

I don't suppose you know if they'll repeat series 2 any time soon? Or if they'll ever get as far as Sisters of the Flame and Vengeance of Morbius? As far as I could tell, they stopped series 2 after The Zygon Who Fell to Earth...

All the site listed was the current season they're starting tomorrow. (And yes, I recall it stopping with the Zygon Who Fell To Earth as well)

I was hoping BBC radio would be playing Tom Baker's new BBC audio adventure too, to spur CD sales and all, but haven't spotted any news on that yet.

So far, the BBC are only stating that series 1 will continue next week, with No More Lies scheduled to air Monday 21st September and (presumably) Human Resources the consecutive tuesday & wednesday. Their schedule goes no further at this point, but next weeks Radio Times is due out in the shops in the next couple of days. If no-one beats me to it, I'll let you know if they do indeed continue with season 2 next thursday & friday.

I  Lucie

She's like Donna, only less shouty.

EDIT: BTW, Series 2 has been confirmed to continue after the end of Series 1. However, only the first six plays seem to be being broadcast again :( The Radio Times website shows The Eight Doctor Adventures on Tuesday 29 September (as far in advance as it goes) and is says Episode 4 of 6 for Skull of Sobek, with no mention of Sisters of the Flame or Vengeance of Morbius. I did read somewhere that the BBC only bought 6 of the 8 plays, so who knows (pun intended) if they will ever be broadcast.

Thanks again for pointing this out. :) I finished Series 1 yesterday, and plan to start Series 2 today (Dead London - "4 days left to listen"!). I, too, have found that I  Lucie (I was sorry to see on the Big Finish news feed (21 Sep) that Lucie will be leaving in the first episode of the upcoming Series 4). She clicks really well with Eight. :)

Eight, by the way, is a big ham. I love it! :D He's climbing the ranks of my personal favorites...

A bit short notice, but...
Quote:
On Saturday October 31st begins a new series of Doctor Who Audio Adventures on BBC Radio 7.

It begins with Sisters of the Flame, at 5pm, 11pm and 4am the next day.

As noted on the lifetheuniverseandcombom website (a very good DW/SJA/TW news website. A warning, though, that spoilers appear aplenty for those of a delicate nature if you choose to visit)

Notice: Sorry, that was bad intel I gave out above regarding this 'series,' as it turns out that it isn't on next week but is only a one-off airing. It does return at Christmas with The Vengeance of Morbius, though. Oops!
