She hasn't left the protective camouflage of cute yet. But any day now she will. Then she better have learned her lessons well or she will be one more casualty.

I wonder if any other young Drow is trying her strategy of developing 'friendships' with non-Drow students? Having contacts with other species because they went to school together might leverage into influence later on. In the short term it leaves her vulnerable to appearing 'odd' to the other Drow girls.

Or it will make her look like a masterful tactician; to befriend members of other species could be a way to have a private army that is not beholding to the Drow Queen.

Well, Arachne is a friend of Gren. And of Maula of course, but that could be convenient while she had no reason to hear Gren's woes, dispense advice and set up dates. So drow probably do get friendly with other races. They probably also bed them, since Arachne did not hold captives just for torture, and Eric was not juts hanging in there (yeah, i punned, sorry, its contagious and T-Chall is to blame).

Oh sure, blame this poor, innocent fox! Next you're going to try and say it's my fault that the reason Arachne liked Eric that way was because she likes her guys well hung!
