I know a (very) little of the Pacific North-West tribes having travelled to Vancouver in 2000. I was privileged to witness the raising of a new totem pole at the University of British Colombia whilst I was there - absolutely fascinating.

Ditto. I plain did not like her, though i like her background and her story. Being apprenticed to Meegs probably did her alignment no good.

Hmmm, I had been brought up to understand that it was the lower on the pole the more important because the lower on the pole, the more weight and stability of the pole is carried, and thus the more responsible and important the position was.
