Lewie for the save, eh? And in such spectacular fashion. (Suddenly I find myself wondering what his end zone victory dance looks like.)

Rock on, Lewie. Rock on.

But what happened to the avatar of Gruumsh? It seems somewhat unlike him to bug out just from a minor poke in the foot. Maybe he's already back in the lab whipping up another batch of Chemical X.

Ok, been enjoying the comic for a while now.

but I'm not so sure on that color treatment, Rich.

That comic strip was just brilliant. :good:
This is the first story arc i've read while it was actually being posted, as the first strip i read was 1200 and i have loved it. I'm grinning away like a lunatic at Lewie being back. Thanks again BK for drawing such a great comic. :D

That was freaking incredible Rich. The last thing I expected was Lewie pulling a holy landmine on Jone.

Now the fun parts begin; Will Jone be taken in by Ch'thier for her human half and used by her to torture Gruumsh for all eternity, Is the family curse only attached to the family title and therefore broken now. Well find out same bat time sa… :naughty: Ooops wrong train of thought. :lipssealed:

Well worth the wait. I'm w/ those stating it's still got some more to go before this is all wrapped up. Truly epic #1400! Hurray for the return of Lewie! I may be hooked for life. No doubts in my mind now at all that after Girl Genius this is my 2nd favorite web comic. OOTS is still good but far to spotty in its posting shedule and the art just isn't worthy of comparison for me. Story wise OOTS may be a little better overall but this comic has much better character growth and development for me.

BOOM!!!

Every 100th comic is in color, I have to admire Rich's ability to plan so that its always something epic.

I don't hate Jone -- pity for her one-track fate and past, perhaps, but by some strips gone she had gone into 'rabid dog that must be put down as humanely as possible' category. You don't hate the dog, you just try to put it out of its misery before it can hurt anyone.

Now, that kobold who has been compounding the damage... *her* I could see smacked around some.

You ...

I ...

WHY does this yet persist?

WHY did you ever believe Jone was undead?

She was alive, and now she is dead. There is no undead anywhere in this equation, unless you count Lewie.

And you'd better count Lewie.

Because, well... you saw what he did to Jone.

In life it is important to stand up and be counted. Which is easier said than done unless you have a load of magic powers that can make things go boom like that.

A little to "deus ex machina" for me (and that says a lot after Grumsh stepping in :) ), but Lewie's back! Good times!

I hope someday Jone gets some twisted kind of a second chance. I really have no clue how to "redeem" her, and I think we've seen enough of her for the moment (at least as a mayor character), but I still got some sympathy for that little devil.[looks with big puppy eyes to BK]PrettyPrettyPlease!?[/looks with big puppy eyes to BK] Perhaps our favourite lich tries to raise her as a bodyguard and get's something that's quite the opposite of Jone as we know her? :)

Possibly Moonpuppy meant that if Lewie turns Jone's corpse into his undead slave, her army can't resurrect her, no matter how hard they try. *cough*
