The sudden change in head-piece between panels 1 and 2 threw me off for a minute, but her expression and shape of her face removed any doubt about who I was looking at. Also, sibling rivalry in front of the masses is rather amusing.

It also shows Alzaer'bith's lack of self-control, not to say her childishness, in front of all - her - subjects.

I have signed up solely to commemorate the comic number finally reaching the year!

Though as for the comic, I am trying to imagine what might be said during a motivational speech a ruler might give her subjects, such that disagreement would even make sense. Perhaps the drow analog of "Rebellious Scots to crush," with Mah'Ri rejecting the attitude?

And Aebliss: it may speak poorly for Alzaer'bith, but Mah'Ri was quite out of place in making such a public interruption.

She was breaking protocol and any ruler would have the right to scold her. The thing is that she had already gotten on her sisters nerves, and this minor interruption -which should have invoked a cold stare and some sarcasm- caused an outburst. In front of people who rather like Mah'ri, and who tend to view her interventions as a God(dess)-sent.

Of the two sisters, Alzaer'bith is like a charging boar, and Mahr'i is more like a spider. And Alzaer'bith has well and truly walked into a web that she allowed to be woven, handing her sister each and every thread.

Hey now, Bith didn't walk into any web.
