Arachne always has another plan up her sleeve. I'm not always happy about it, but I have to hand it to her; she thinks ahead.

Oh yes, the enormous benefits of having clever heroes. I do not like Arachne but it will be fun to see Sittica taking some lessons from Arachne.

To paraphrase Piers Anthony: Arachne isn't a good teacher. She's a great lesson.

I'm amazed that the Queen didn't bother restraining Arachne at all, or even putting them in separate cells!

Her undoing perhaps....

Queen? Lolth, perhaps?

And I wonder, who does wait Arachne help from? She knows something... Won't it be Wolf, how do you think?

This seems to be her one weakness: underestimating enemies. She let her sister live and she left Arachne, who should be a legend by now for her role in the Keeper and Lewie storylines, untied in a vast cell, not to mention throwing her another conspirator to ally herself with. Unless, of course, as a master strategist she has some more tests she needs to run. There is no telling.

I would think by now that Arachne would be very good at getting out of restraints given some time alone...

Maybe that's why she doesn't engage in masochism as much as she does in sadism; her dates kept running away as fast as they could once it was Arachne's turn in the shackles, obliging her to learn escapology.

Probably yes, which is why you do not go by restraints alone. You have her securely bound, guarded AND knocked out, preferably magically.

She's got Lolth upstairs. Lolth supports the Queen. That's really all the protection one needs.

Lolth is fickle though, and only helps those who help themselves. She turned on Bith when someone else appeared in fron of her with a better plan.

She was against 'Bit from the moment the surface elves excaped them. All her sister did was show how she was damaging the drow with her incompetence. Remember before Mahri showed up nobody else wanted the job as queen.

This is true. But for now Lolth is still well disposed towards both the Queen and Arachne, so i am guessing their own competence will decide the conflict between them. I cannot know for certain, but i am guessing that leaving your job to Lolth is the certain way for her to make sure you are punished for your presumptions.
