Oyah, the feces have impacted the rotary air moving device.

More importantly, love Glon and his posse.

Oh, yeah. He's going to be kicking some serious Drow ass.

Though Lolth may have a few things to say about his one-posse genocide, even if Gruumsh approves. Come to think of it, maybe that's one way he could get back into Gruumsh's favor...

I think that Glon just needs to take a couple of deep breaths and give this a little more reflection.

Ah. Ch'Thier didn't come through, then.

Oh, Glon. There should be better ways to deal with your regrets... *shakes head*

Why? That's exactly what a true orc would do. Avenge his wife or die in glory.

Nothing gives me the good chills like some heroic vengance.

Yes, but all Drow? His complaint is with one particular Drow -- the Queen, the one who gave the poisoning orders. Unless he focuses on the prize, he's going to expend all his resources on meaningless cannon-fodder.

Perhaps he follows Ch'Thier's advice how to turn Grumish benevolent (that is she explained him Goria's soul was not in her rule, so he had to draw Grumish into it...)

It's not only the Drow Queen that ordered to kill Glon himself. It's also the poisoner that implemented this order. It's the trusted advisor that provided Mrs. Bloodhand with false information. It's various drow officials that constantly undermined [strips 2027-2031] the reputation of the queen whose rule they have, at least formally, accepted. Last but not least, it's the entire drowry of Black Mountain waging a war against him and his people (seriously, wouldn't that one be enough?).
And because his people are already fighting, he isn't going to draw much more resources except his personal ones. Indeed, he does not order his other wives to join him, nor does he even ask for this. He just suggests. Obviously he is going to administer the punishment on the Drow personally and I wish he could manage this.

Though Gruumsh would certainly be pleased by such a heroic deed, I think that Glon is too angry with him to think of pleasing him intentionally. I think that he is driven by his personal hatred of Drow, and that one is not without a firm base.

Something to consider, how was Goria's standing in Gruumsh's eye when she died?

Dunno- she was a pretty faithful adherent and follower, but at the same time, Gruumsh doesn't seem like the sort to be reasonable about his failures. He used Goria to bring about Jone, with intent that she be the tool to bring about his vision- and that went over like a lead balloon. He might be in a mood to blame whoever was 'responsible' for that 'defective tool.'

He's an evil deity. The only person who won't be blamed is the one who actually screwed up--Gruumsh himself.

One thing about only having a single eye. You lose (depth) perception.

Poor Goria. A bitter end for a bitter life.
As for Glon, he is leading a war against the drow already. He just made it more personal than it already was. His decision probably means that he is not going to consider reconciliation, peace or mercy.

The thing I'm wondering is- if he pulls it off, is this what might finally earn Glon the respect and support of the orcs?
