I don't think she's losing divinity so much as her perspective is growing more limited.

Outsiders and other extraplanar entities slowly lose power the longer they're away from their home plane. Lolth's been here for years at this point.

I've never heard of that. I know certain being need to return to their places of power to recharge but Lolth would have needed to do that long ago.

i think the tattoo is the sign for the Pits in teh Abyss as it is infinite. to show other drow just where this slave belongs.

and yeah Mah'ri just got her just desserts, but now who is going to be queen? not Arachne, bet its going to be the kid with Anancy being turned back into a drow for an advisor.

Anancy turned out to be rather weak and fearful... even if she rebecome drow...

On the other hand -- perhaps, drow qween is to be imperfect (as 'Bith was) for Arachne or some other behihd-the-trone drow with brain and taste to intrigues can act comfortably behind this screen?

In panel 6 it looks like Lolth didn't only branded Mahr'i but gave her a sex change as well. Probably no chance of a political comeback after that in Drow society.
