While revenge is a notion I entirely, wholeheartedly understand, I have trouble with Glon's current blind rage.

As far as I remember, Goria did not love him. She was relatively forced into her position and lost all motivation when her daughter died. If I am not mistaken, when she realized she was poisoned she said something along the line that it was better to die now, to take the first chance of death outside suicide, than to continue living in her position.

On his side, I do not think Glon could have been very attached to her as well. They weren't like-minded and he did not find her attractive. Furthermore he has three other wives, one of them the mother of his child, and thus it isn't like Goria would have been all, a majority or even a big percentage of "his world".

I am sure the other wives had more connection to Goria than he did.

Add to that Arachne was the one who actually gave him a chance to save Goria. So ... yeah *shrugs*

... then again even the wives are surprised and he does look furiously like Jone right now... a hint about why half-orcs are fundamentaly a bad idea ?

(even his vocabulary is becoming similar)

*raises glass* May he suffer the same fate ! I cannot wait to see how it unfolds ; )

Maybe he got more invested in revenge after failing to save her?

I think the fact that he is in a blind rage over her death proves you wrong in that regard

At the very least, Glon felt sorry over what happened to Goria and Jone. He clearly felt very bad about failing Jone, and he was trying to get along with Goria, so imagine how much worse he felt when he believed that he failed her as well.

Glon went all-out to save her, and it was all made useless in the end. This explains his rage; he desperately needs someone to blame, and the Drow are there.

I don't really feel that sorry for Arachne. She's a coldblooded, mostly compassionless manipulator who tortures sentient beings for kicks and giggles, and will sell away anyone for her own mystery agenda. I do worry, though, that killing her would be the deciding factor that lands Glon's soul in the thrall of Gruumsh.

I wish Maula would show up and knock Glon out. She's the only Orc who outranks him and could salvage the situation. Arachne's in no position to talk anymore, on account of Glon having both hands on her throat and him being stronger than she is.

He's in a blind rage after some meditation... pryer... conversation with some gods...
Who knows...

Jone didn't start out as a berserk killing machine either.

Maybe it's just something about Half-Orcs? Dual natures at war with each other meaning they tend to be dissipated and unfocused in their actions, until something happens that can align both halves of themselves. Then watch out.

I wonder if Glon is going to jump the shark as it where and turn totally evil?

Would he be evil in D&D though? Not sure what his alignment would be...

Glon's been on the 'evil' side of things since the begining. Remember, he got blasted by the protection from evil spell way back during his first storyline?

I think BK said that was him thumbing his nose at the D&D alignment system.

Yes, it was a joke, but it still happened. Glon's never really been on the Good side of things.

I think that he differs from a typical orc nature mainly because he had lived among the humans and has a concept of how good things are done (although he saw few of them). But when he's enraged and totally gave in to his "dark side", he has nowhere to apply this concept. Pity for the young Sittica, but Glon has really no reason to spare either her or any other drow.

Iunno, I keep feeling like something is here isn't right. I can get being upset over not getting to Goria with the antidote in time, but this... This doesn't feel like Glon at all.
