hmm, i kinda like the way this turned out. the battle is over and both parties are more or less intact, although they seem to have been knocked out of the game for a while

Well, if Lolth went home and the BK is going to sleep for a few decades I'd say Lolth came out on top as she's just gone back to beign a normal god, which should actually increase her influence as she's gone back to looking at the big picture instead of wallowing in physical pleasures.

She may need someone to use the focusing crystal again before she can return to the Prime Material, though, so it's not a complete victory: she liked hanging around, or so it seemed. ^^

Nope, I'm calling it a victory for the Beholder King: he kicked a goddess's rump so hard that she turned tail and fled home!

Good going, Bob1! I'm fairly sure that the Beholder King would have just chowed down on Gren if he'd found out she wasn't one of his subjects. He can probably do with a big meal in addition to his nap...

In closing: no matter which Bob is destined to succeed the King, they still have a long way to go. The Beholder King is awe-inspiring, even in his madness.

I'm pretty sure the victor is Gren actually. She's the one who achieved her real objective in this situation -- Lolth and the Beholder King were merely pawns in its realization.

Now the question is how the orcs will react.

It could go either way, but with Glon back to his senses and Maula weary of bloodshed it has some potential for peace!

I wonder what will happen to Wolf and Lolth's child. Surely being birthed in a demon realm can't be good for the psyche

Being born from Lolth's spider-body can't be good for the psyche, either. The Demonweb Pits may be a relief in comparison.

Wjat psyche :-) ? This will be a demigodess born out of complete evil, not an innocent babe to be formed through nurture alone. Lolth is probably making sure Grumsh's mistake will not be repeated im her case.
