... Is she too dumb to draw the correct conclusion upon seeing those skeletons, or is it too dark for her to see them?

That Kobold must possess above-average intelligence... But still; they'll rummage through the luggage, but they won't open the coach? o_o

I think we finally found someone with a worse Spot skill than the OOTS crew. Something I had previously considered a quantum impossibility.

I think her brain may be editing them out.

I don't know why but I want that pic of a kobold napping on the panty hammock on a t-shirt.

It's too dark for her to see. It's amazing that she could see the fact that her clothes has been stolen. Remember there are no streetlights and because it's raining, no moonlight. The princess is, effectively, completely blind when she's anywhere that the coach lights aren't shining. But one wonders why she didn't go into the lit area and notice the skeleton of the horse.

However, the lamps on the coach must be pretty powerful, on the order of magical lights in order to have allowed the coach to move under those circumstances.

Yes, while editing them out or plain not seeing them, i think the position of the skeletons in the panel implies that she simply is that morornic.
