Ahahahaaa~! Two of the biggest jerks in the pantheon are losing influence by leaps and bounds. I love it.
I wonder what the peoples under the Mountain will replace Gruumsh and Lolth with, though... And I'm also curious how the Dark Elves will do in future.

Might we see a storyline centered on Chimera and their desire to find companionship? We never did find out what they did with that lamp containing the, uh, 'mathematically disadvantaged' genie...

Unless being attacked by the Beholder King and transforming into a giant Drider-like monstrosity caused Lolth to spontaneously abort the first few dividing cells inside of her, I wouldn't assume the demi-goddess heir is entirely out of the picture.

Why would Nephilia allow Lolth's worship to wane though? True, she had no reason to respect her after what she went through for no reason but she is the one who brought her to power and she rules because Lolth said so.

In a less serious note, ewwww! Getting in the same spa with slimes and gelatinous cubes .

Nephilia can't really control how devout her subjects are. She can say they have to worship Lolth butnot how strongly they actually do so.

Really, it's the using temples as other things that bothers me, that would never go well with the Lolth I know.

Possibly Nephilia doesn't even want to think about Lolth right now. Sure, she set Nephilia up in power, but she made it excruciatingly clear that the current queen won't be building her own dynasty if Lolth's plans go through, she let Mahr'i con her into torturing Nephilia for all those years, she supported the war that nearly cost the Drow everything...

Nephilia may still support Lolthism as the state religion, but she's probably not interested in cramming it down her people's throats at all. And after the disastrous way the war turned out, it's not surprising that many Drow feel even less charitable about old eight-legs than they used to before.

I wonder more and more whether Silk is dead. She's always been the most devout towards Lolth. She'd have a thing or two to say about all of this slacking off.
