I notice Eric doesn't even try to deal with the innumerable logical fallacies, but instead goes straight to the 'heart' of the matter.

A smart man indeed.

"Scolded" or "scorned"?

I have to admit I expected that Goldie would raise the alarm, not that Clover would get her out so quickly.

Hell has no fury like a woman scorned?

"Heav'n has no Rage, like Love to Hatred turn'd,
Nor Hell a Fury, like a Woman scorn'd."
William Congreve, in The Mourning Bride, 1697

We overestimate her it seems. Clover probably caught on very fast and did not let her speak, especially if Eric did inform her how airheaded the Disnea princesses are.
