First panel: everybody's here.
Second panel: only two demons behind Zafana.
Third panel: one one demon.
Fourth panel: demon chomp.

Did the naga eat everybody else already? If it only attacked the demons, why didn't the rest of the crew say react in any way?

Question is, why?
Is it mad they left their posts?
Mad Saffana cheated?
Was the whole thign a plot to get rid of them?
Was it after the key the whole time?

I'm guessing that last one.

The question is, do Devils make a good snake snack?

Good question about whether the naga is after the key herself.

I hadn't considered it, but if that's the case, she could be a Spirit Naga -- which are evil.

According to the 1st-edition Monster Manual, they have the most human-like heads of all naga.

The plot thickens...

And of course, Sahar's off slacking somewhere, right when they could really use some lightning. Jeez. No sense of responsibility to a sibling. What's the world coming to?

Though it might not be clear, the Naga only chomped one of the demons. The other two stayed back with Omar and the two wounded [dying] girls. The bechomped demon was the most curious and adventurous of the three and wanted to see where the key went. The other two are just interested in seeing if Safana can get them off the island. I know none of that came out in exposition, but not everything does.

Apologies for the confusion.

Adina is not magical nor a priestess. She cannot cast lightening. Sahar isn't even in the vicinity. She stayed home to assume the duties of high priestess while her mother assumed the duties of Kaliffa and Kassim learned the responsibilities of taking over after their father turned into a tree.

BK? I think the comment about Sahar and lightning was just a joke. :-)

... On second thought, how often does what a naga like her probably considers food, just wander right in where she can grab it?

...hmm.. I see what you mean. My morning brain assumed that the person making said joke thought that Sahar was nearby. *sigh* Sarcasm on the internet. It NEVER causes confusion.

Not in the mind of the writer, it doesn't. For the reader...Well, I have driven my department head to rip out what hair he has left on occasion.

Hmm... clearly that one wasn't as obvious as I'd hoped. I was hoping to make a quick wisecrack at the former lamia's expense. Sorry, BK.

Don't feel bad, Lyger, I was going to make basically the exact same joke until I saw that you'd already done so.

I feel that something must be wrong with me. I liked the Lamia Noble (evil) and mildly dislike the Guardian Naga (good). Does anyone have an alignment test handy? I might be slipping on the wrong side of neutral.
