Gyro Pizza sounds like assisted suicide to me.
Hee hee... You're very conscientious, and that's appreciated. However, it really was tasty - just the meat part on a pizza. :)

Clearly none of you have ever tasted an authentic Chicago-style deep dish. Lemme lay it down for you. Garlic bread crust, then spicy tomato sauce, followed by a flat layer of sausage and pepperoni. Yeah, the meat doesn't come in pieces, it's an actual layer of the pizza. After that is cheese, thick-cut veggies, and topped with a layer of tomato paste and chunks of tomato. Unless you need a knife and fork to eat your pizza, you're doing it wrong :P

Just because we're not currently discussing its merits doesn't mean we haven't ever had it. :D It's definitely good stuff! What I can usually get here, though, is more of a stuffed pizza (top crust, too) than Chicago-style, but fork-necessary pizza is double-plus good!

 I just stared bewilderedly at all the options involving fruit and went for chocolate.
I'm a teenager, thus i have no palate. My appreciation for quality extends predominately towards caffienated drinks, especially coffee :coffee3:
An example of this is the discussion of pizza. For me i LIKE good pizza, but the main concern is how cheap it is and how easily scared the delivary guy is.

Now we're going to have to start a sub-thread about that... ;)

Well, yeah - at different points in our lives, there are different criteria by which to judge the worth of any given pie, be it pizza or otherwise. Quantity is always a good one. :D

My definition of a good pie is one that you are compelled to eat so much of that you become physically ill.

Yes, but doesn't it take good pie to trigger it? ;)

Unfortunately it is also the definition of bulimia.

Never said it was a good definition just sort of a truism.

Being able to say the name and understand it is to start to manage it. My family has living success stories.

OK, this thread suddenly went from frothy and uplifting to kind of dark and serious. So, ummm... Tra la!

 How about a baked crisp? How does, say, a nice apple crisp measure up against an apple pie (or any other pie, for that matter)?

*does faux tap dance to distract everyone from the heavier topics*

Mixed crisps are the food of the gods. Apple plus homepicked blackberries, add some icecream... Match for a pie any day.

I thought that was ambrosia? Which for some reason i've always pictured as apple juice cartons. Despite the fact i don't like apple juice....
What is ambrosia meant to taste like anyway?
