It is a picture of my character, named Kashim, who is a rogue living near the Calim Desert in southern Faerun. He wears a shemagh to keep the sand out of his face and keep people from knowing what he looks like.

Just in case anyone was wondering.

An Explanation of his avatar, by GaspApples:

"This is his gramma. She is named lester. She is anamazing person who gives to charity and likes peach cobbler a bit to much. One day she was teaching me how fight gorrillas and I got in one little fight and my mom got scared and she said youre moving with your aunte and uncle in bel-air ,I whistled for a cab and when it came near the, Licensplate said fresh and had a dice in the mirror, if anything I could say that this cab was rare, But I thought now forget it, yo home to bel-air I pulled up to a house about seven or eight And I yelled to the cabby yo, home smell you later Looked at my kingdom I was finally there To settle my throne as the prince of bel-air."

It's all in good fun, my dear! Since 'rouge' is a word, spell check won't flag it at all.

Reminds me of when I was working as an editor, and we'd see crazy spell-check errors all the time from writers who didn't proofread - "poodles of blood" instead of "puddles of blood," or the roof of Olympic Stadium being "raised by an intricate series of wenches." Gotta love it!

Sadly, no. Though I think wench-winches would work a hell of a lot better than the piece of crap we ended up with in Montreal. Nothing could be worse...

Well in Ancient Rome they used a large detachment of sailors to work canvas sails that were positioned to shade the Colosseum.

This fact is brought to you by the History Chanel and a lost remote.

Mine is not as original. It is Nate River, also known as N or Near, from Death Note

Death Note? One of our team is preparing a campaign based on Death Note, only it will be set in an elven kingdom.
Never though to ask if my avatar comes from a specific myth...she sort of reminds me of Prospero, taking of her wings like that.

My picture is a random cute kitten, found on the interwebs, shrunk down through judicious use of the Paint program, and posted for your viewing enjoyment. I needed a cat, because of my name, so there we go. There's another one I've seen, where they get a little closer to the face and there's a gigantic *lick* in the background, but I prefer the one without words.

And I shall take advantage of your being distracted by my cuteness to rend your head from your shoulders with my very sharp claws....

or perhaps I'll simply steal the best seat in the room. It's a toss-up at this point.
