I still can't believe that they actually had giant space hamsters. It's one of the oddest creatures they ever came up with.

Come on...did you not find even ONE of the beasties in the article gameworthy? Ridiculous when seen in print yes but totally gameworthy stilll!

I hope none of my players reads this forum until i can surprise them with the Lurker above, the trapper and that wall thing combined in one dungeon...

hm... still, I have to admit that good art can support the description of a monster big time. Then u see all this jolly little pictures, some of the cool monsters (like the beholder) really look a bit retardet...

...and who wants to get his 1st lvl char killed by a duckbunny?

There is one odder than the Giant Space Hamster...Boo, the Miniature Giant Space Hamster. The NPC Minsc's pet in Baulder's Gate (an old PC video game).

Baldur's Gate is now an old video game?

That does it. I am making the bunnyduck eat all my players next session. I am not going to be the only one with an inferiority complex!

Baldur's Gate is old? I remember playing it the day it came out! If it's old then that means i'm old.... oh no.... WHY GOD WHY?? I THOUGHT I HAD MORE TIME!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

(p.s. I'm 19, but i guess i'm just abnormally old for my age)

Baldur's Gate isn't old. You are!

That was a great article. I never had anything against beholders, even after seeing that retarded picture... And gelatinous cube! Sure, when you start really thinking about it, its stupid, but then again a whole fantasy world is stupid when you start thinking about it. Duckbunny is indeed something that makes me a sad, sad panda. Ok, wolf-spider too. The funny thing is the most retarded thing is actually the last bit. That sorry creature looks like it has some really painful gas going on ::D That is just perfect illustration. Perfect.

Was refering to Baldur's Gate, the 1998 PC game...In in the video game world, 9 (almost 10) years is a long time.

I remember Rogue. Played it on an Amiga. And I remember playing the Pool of Radiance series on a Commador 64.

So yes...I AM old...And proud of it.
