Since as far as I know no river in the desert has been mentioned, much less named, other than that strip, BK is the only one who could answer that one.

If you start looking in the obvious bits of the archive, it is easy to find.

Ah well I thought that as the Samosan river was mentioned in the very first strip in the Turg's Quest storyline, http://yafgc.net/?id=367, then it was a fair question.
