I wouldn't have the balls to say that if I was in a relationship, now would I? And naturally if I was gay, I'd be saying things like "Dewcup has the cutest little outfit in this and that comic, don't you lads agree?"
Not like it was difficult to piece together.

Actually, no - if you were gay, you'd be saying things along the lines of "wow, Wolf's got a hot bod. I'd hit that!" If you were a cast member on Queer Eye, then I could see the Dewcup thing working for you.

I'm not gay but D-Cup does have some cute outfits. I especially liked the whole gothic lolita thing she had going on when she was hangin in the caverns.

All the best costumes in the comic have been inspired by her.
Mrs.B's nicer gowns, the basic look of the Orcs vs the Hobgoblins, Dewcup's dresses, etc.

So, in the older editions, hobgoblins, and ogre mages were often depicted in Oriental Stylized clothing and armor, did you find that odd as well?

That's like saying "I'm not gay, but sometimes I have sex with men." ::)

To me it sounds more like "I'm dragging in the gay thing to disguise that what I'm really saying is that she has some cute outfits that I'd love to rip off her."
But that could be just me assuming that everyone else thinks about sex all the time because I do.

Since kashim's also a costumer? He probably means exactly what he said. Thanks, by the way - BK allows me a lot of play with the clothing designs in the strip, and the gothlic loli was a tip of the hat to a friend of mine who does a lot of masquerade competitions/j-styles and sells loli pieces at cons.

It's a lot of fun to be able to throw some costume ideas out there without worrying about actual fabrics, seam lines, historical accuracy or physics. :;)

No, not really. Less now even then I might have before.
I assumed the Ogre Mage was based on some Japanese or Chinese folktale or something. I've never used them in my games anyway because an Ogre has always sufficed as is. I may be wrong.

As for the Hobgoblins, I found the art poor enough that I just assumed it was some kid drawing it who liked Samurai armour. Never paid it any heed in my own campaign visuals. However, now that I'm older and working on this comic, I talked to DM about how to seperate the 'look' between the Hobgoblins and the Orcs. So they're not dressed the same. We talked about their culture and came up with this: The Orcs are savage tribal bullies and their basic 'look' to best represent this was 'biker style'. Black, chains, big shoulders with spikes and spikey collars and armbands, tattoos... etc. The Hobgoblins have a highly disciplined martial culture. The easiest way to get this across is to give them a Japanese look. Samurai style. This is, of course, in highly simplistic terms.
