I gotta say, I was skeptical at first, that this was possible to translate to audio. Still not sure how some of it could come across without some serious rewriting, but I downloaded your test track and I really enjoyed it!
I'm so glad you enjoyed it. I'd hate to think I was making a travesty out of it - taking your precious work and turning it into something... not quite the same.
As to script and rewriting, I don't think this is much of an issue. I wanted the audio drama to work as a supplement to your comic, not as a replacement. Kind of encouraging people to listen to the former while reading the latter. As such I've reached page 140 and only added three lines, without removing any
(on page 37 I have a White Dalek saying "Target transferred into hyperspace!" and another replying "Impossible! Hyperdirive could not have been repaired that fast!", and in the final panel the Fourth Doctor's line becomes "Uh oh. I think we just saved a shipful of Daleks.").

Now THIS is more how I'd like to audition--just saying actual lines from the "Ten Doctors" script, instead of the bit with auditioning by putting a clip of the character I'm trying out for saying a real line from the show, first, and then a clip of me saying _that_ line. Also I have no idea how to thread different sound files into one file like that, anyway.
Can I possibly do my audition this way, too? I would've done it a LOT earlier if I had known this was an option.
Um...mine won't have a theme song and sound effects and echoes, though.

You're MUCH better at that kind of thing than I am, Arraitchgee. When I did the other audio play I was in, I merely recorded my actual dialogue and then the person running it did all the fancy stuff. Heh.
I also apologise ahead of time for my cheap microphone. But at least it's working again, huzzah! For the longest time it was just DEAD--the computer wouldn't recognise it--and I had no idea why...

Yes, I decided that I was trying to do it too professionally - and in that I was losing all the fun, especially as we're just a bunch of fans, not voice actors. So long as the characters have their own distinct voice: (I'm only using this one as an example) say your voice for Rose sounds different to whoever ends up voicing Ace, and I'll be happy. Another good example that the Tenth Doctor has to sound different enough from Drax or Sabalom Glitz, if you get my meaning. (Who'd've thought there'd be so many Londoners in space?)
I'll be handling all the "fancy stuff", as you say. I'm hoping to kick it up a notch (
bam!) from this test tape, hopefully with volume differences, panning, and (most importantly of all) running sound effects! (I really can't believe I missed those out...)
