I gotta say, I liked this ep. Actual aliens? Check. Actual alien planet? Check. A companion that was actually useful? Check! Hey RTD, why weren't you and any applicable collaborators writing this stuff in 2005?

They were, with a bit of change. Doctor Who wouldn't stay the exact same as it used to be, audience expectations have changed quite a bit.
