I would just like to start out that the new site is just plain awesome. I like how you adapted the Chronicles phpBB2 Theme, I love it!

You guys said to let you know when bugs pop-up in the new site for YAFGC. Well, the bugs have already started showing up.

We are currently on comic <a href="http://yafgc.net/?id=1451">1451</a>, but you will notice that the "Next" and "Latest" buttons are still dark (and unclickable) if you go back to comic <a href="http://yafgc.net/?id=1450">1450</a>.

Everything else, as far as I can tell, is cool and works.

That's... really weird. I made a chance in the .htaccess yesterday, but that shouldn't effect this. I have to run to the day job now, but I'll poke at it a bit more later and see what I can figure out.

On my laptop, the main interface (title and buttons) covers up the ads on the right column. Other computers, no problem. I am using Mozilla on all of them.

Morgana - that's a screen resolution thing. Hit CTRL + minus sign to shrink the main site away from the ads if it bugs you.

The only really annoying thing I'm finding is that the shade of brown the links turn when you click them is a little hard to see against the background. Maybe silver would work better?

It seems that links to other strips included within posts will only take you to the current strip. For reference, try the link in T-Chall's post on page 1 of "Strip 1488: Gren Makes Her Decision" under Board Index > Storylines.

On another note, LOVE the new site! Especially having a full Archive!

That's not a site bug, that's due to the redirect I put on the old site. At the moment, every link that points to one of the old strips on the old site will automagically redirect to the main page of the new site. There's a way that I can rewrite the .htaccess file to replace the old path (yafgc.shipsinker.com/comic/whatever.jpg, iirc...) with the new path (yafgc.net/img/comic/whatever.jpg) directly and make the links work again, I just haven't gotten to it yet. Maybe by the weekend, if I can get the front hall tile finished by tomorrow night. (Darn real life intruding!)

No, thank you! Even though I don't comment on the forum a lot, I love the comic and read it everyday. i would also like to comment that the RSS Feed now works much better.

It's a daily temp fix, alas - manually flushing the cache every morning. Steve, the guy who wrote the system, is trying to figure out why the cache is sticking on the main page - I haven't been able to find the bug. So don't uncross your fingers yet!

I just thought I would let you know that the redirect from the old site is not working. Anyone who has not changed the favorite to the site will be stuck with the old system.

That's because I'm mucking with the individual strip redirects on my lunch break (and it's driving me insane! Anyone here good with mod_rewrite calls?). If I can't get it working, I'll put the old redirect back up in a few.

Not really a bug, but there are no links to the concept art/Rich's sketches that the original site had.

Nope - we removed them. Site traffic analysis showed that pretty much nobody looked at them, so there wasn't much need to put the work into another page on the site.

i don't even remember where the concept art sketches were in the old site... i'm pretty sure i'd visit regularly if i had spotted them

ah well, at least they make for a kickass wallpaper
