Yes, it's on its way, people. We've got all the pages set up and edited, a price set and we're waiting to hear back from Ka-BLAM for confirmation that it's all printable. Here we goooo--

Yahoo! That's great news. Very good cover, too, and a perfect set up for the first strip in the book.

How/when do you do the preorder and how did you know I was just thinking how great a printed version would be?

I'll have more information posted once we've seen the physical proof and confirmed that the quality meets our standards and that they printed/cropped it correctly. I've been told they'll be invoicing us and printing it "soon," but that's been since Tuesday. :P

So hopefully by the end of the month, and as soon as it's been approved, there'll be a link posted on the site to the new online store where you can place your order.

Is the Artist Edition bonuses included in the book or just bundled with it?
Also, do you think a hardcover will be available?

The artbook appendix is in both versions of the book (thanks - I'll clarify in the product descriptions!), bound in after the comics. You get a download link to the exclusive wallpapers immediately upon ordering the artist's edition only.

The regular edition will ship immediately from our printer in the US. The artist's edition is currently on preorder - once we reach 25 sales or two weeks in, we'll place the order, receive, sign an sketch, and ship them out ourselves.

So for immediate purchase and lower shipping (if you're in the USA), grab the regular edition. For a signed, personalized, sketched-in edition that takes a little longer to get but also comes with a pair of wallpapers, get the artist's edition.

Does that help?

Also, no plans for a hardcover. Shipping on this tome's gonna be a bitch as it is. (About $10 - $15 depending on location)

I just used Ka-Blam to have my own comic printed.
Their website says it "might take a couple of days" to receive your invoice and digital proof. It actually took them three weeks to send me mine, so don't hold your breath on that. They did however meet their deadline and ship it out within the prescribed time-frame.
So don't sweat it, like I did- they're doing it, they just don't put much emphasis on reassuring their customers.

here's mine by the way-

Heh; I vented jokingly with a friend on Twitter on Friday afternoon, and had not only a passive-aggressive note from one of the Ka-Blammers in reply on twitter itself, I had my digital proof in my inbox two hours later. Now they'd managed to place the entire introduction in backwards order, so there are some fixes to be made before we can approve it, but apparently they monitor the company's social media reputation closely. :P

This is awful, HORRIBILE! I don't think I can cope with the pressure.....

So if I order the artists addition I can get an original signed sketch of my choice of character ...

How am I supposed to just pick just ONE?!?!?

Oh the agnoy ... the sheer torment of it ... I don't think I can cope with the pressure.

What if I COULD narrow it down to the top 5 or 6 so and Rich could just pick one and surprise me? Would that work?

Sure, that works too! But if you definitely have a favourite, flag it - we want to make sure that the folks who are supporting us get extras that they really enjoy. :)

Not to sound like a smart ass (impossible I know) but you could order multiple editions for the sketches and give the extra books as gifts.

You know, if the folkes down at the lottery commission would ever pick the RIGHT numbers I would do just that! :) Meanwhile I guess I'd better save my pennies for year 2....

Good point. Do you think that a 'Patron of the Arts' is a title consideration for a person suporting Web Comic Artists??
