Short version is i need ideas on what to do with this room to make it stand out and wheather i want to focus and turn this room into a gaming room for DND (board games etc) or turn it into a study (drawing and playing music on my own time :)

Advise ideas i love to hear it. Here the room thus far i plan on moving the couch out and debating on taking the shelves out or not.

It needs a slam of paint of course but some of the walls are uneven from a weird set up the previous owners of the house did i know that the mirror I'm not whether to keep it or not...

I love to just hear suggestions

The picture was unavailable, but as soon as i read the question i had to ask, why not both? It will have to have some clever storing spaces, maybe an elaborate library etc, but it could be done. For our DnD games, we commisioned a wooden folding table which takes up little space when not used, let me know if you want the designs.

Without seeing the shape of the room it's hard to make suggestions, but both sound good. Unusual shapes lend themselves well to creating a medieval or sci fi ish atmosphere - some friends of mine lived in a dorm called the Cloister which was more or less shaped like a miniature of some famous cloister, with arch doorways in the halls. They hung a spear over the door and maybe a giant axe on the oddly slanting wall, and it was all the atmosphere we needed for old fashioned D&D.

Get one of those tables that have a checkboard/flip backgammon board top, a lot have other interchangeable boards below that you can take out and insert, hold the pieces and some cards. Stick a computer and a library and some other game storage things, and it should work. Maybe even add computer games.

Go combo--singe purpose rooms are wasteful, & a little pretentious. :naughty:

Well it going slow (Helping mom with yard work first and foremost)

But i narrowed down what needs to be done

1.Ship Couch to Aunt's place since she wants it and is taking up space
2.(hard one) Get the bumps out of the walls
3. Remove mirrors
4.Paint Paint Paint
5. Buy a curtain to close off the Furnace
6.Chairs
7. Minor moving stuff around and set up
8 Decorate with posters, Wall shelves etc.
9. Enjoy
