I agree: she got smacked around by an animal with the strength of a bear and enhanced nastiness. Anyone less tough than an orc would probably have needed a stretcher to get to the Fox's place for medical treatment.

I was a bit perplexed too that she did not ask him to hlp her with the herbs or something like that, but maybe she knew it was a lost cause. Someone so loyal to an ancestral oath to a King she never even met, wouldn't abandon her own father if there was something she could do about it.

Poor Goria, she's pretty much just been told she has to sleep with a guy for profit again. I know it's not the same but it's similar. At least mrs. B seems to recognise, and feel bad about, the displeasure this brings her.

My thoughts exactly. It does not matter if it is done for a copper or a crown, it would still bother her. Probably all she wants is to be left alone to raise Jone.

Am I the only one here who thinks that Goria, who heretofore has been an extremely savvy character, showed some incredible naivete in not realizing ahead of time that Glon would have a harem?

I heard this elsewhere as well. But I remind you that harem-keeping is not an Orc custom. Glon discovered this in the desert lands when they tried to "rescue" Charlotte. He came back and told his mother he wanted one and she indulged him. I thought it was fairly clear that his harem recruits were also somewhat unaware of what they were getting into.

Alright, thanks for the clarification, I'm afraid my only knowledge of this type of thing is from playing WoW and even then I never got into the lore.

That being said I just wanted to say that you write a great comic. I found it a few months ago and read straight through the whole thing in a day or two.

I'm taking up a collection to buy Goria a bigger net. Poor woman can't catch a break.

True. I doubt we have seen a character take as many blows with as many few happy moments in between, and yet she stands.
Among Glon's family, she is probably the most fit to be Queen someday.

The only one close to her as a "Destiny Sponge" would be Clover, and look where she wound up.

To top it, Clover's story was saved by humor. Goria's does not involve dungeons and kidnappings but it concerns even darker themes, which she tackles by being tough as an orc.
