Absolutely! Feel free to do so. I (or somebody) will try to explain if we can.

'Ho' is a rude slang term for a woman who enjoys sex. It's short for 'whore,' but doesn't specifically mean someone who exchanges sex for money - just someone who has it with lots of people. Equivalent to 'slut.'

'Land ho' is a sailing term meaning 'there is visible land, over there, in that direction.'

A combination of squires and bridesmaids, in that context.

DM is right, I made up the term for the comic. I invented a whole ritual for Goblin marriage in which the bride's best friends dress up in armour and dance with her in the ceremony. This probably isn't something you can look up and if you do find it somewhere else, it's got a different meaning.

Your link is off. But I figured out you meant strip #388.
"Ins" is a word used by Genies to describe Humans. I'll look it up in the "Al Qadim" supplement later to explain more.

I assume you mean panel 2 which is full of gibberish words I made up myself.

She says:
"Even from the Flind Hyeesha of Yayaral Hyeeshat?"

Flind = What race she is. She's not a Gnoll, she's a Flind, which is a subrace of Gnoll.

Hyeesha: Is a title I made up in Flind language which would be the equivalent of a Queen. When I make up words in the language of the Gnolls or Flinds, I try to make them sound like a yappy dog sound. Yarrl, Yayaral, Hyeesha, Yapp, Arl, Growlf, that sort of thing.

Yayaral: Is the name of her Hyeeshat. It doesn't mean anything.

Hyeeshat: Is the realm that a Hyeesha is in charge of. Like a King has a Kingdom, a Duke had a Duchy, a Baron has a Barony, a Hyeesha has a Hyeeshat.

So what she means is: "Even from me [I'm a very important person!]?"

I'm pretty sure he means the fourth panel, which is a D&D variation of a very English idiom...

A 'broad' is an older slang term for a slightly less than high-class lady. It's not necessarily rude, but can be. It's not usually used for younger women. My grandmother calls herself 'a tough old broad,' for instance. 'Dame' is of a similar origin.

"A few X short of a Y" is an English idiom meaning "not very smart" or "showing signs of mental illness." It can take pretty much any related pair of nouns in the X and Y spots: "a few sandwiches short of a picnic," "a few dimes short of a dollar," etc.

A 'component' is a physical object required for casting a spell in the dungeons and dragon magic system - eye of newt, toe of frog. A 'cantrip' is an easy spell, one which normally doesn't require the use of spell components.

So in essence, Charlotte is saying "that loud older lady is both stupid and crazy."

Oh you're right. "Words of Sharlotta" had me confused. He meant "Charlotte". Sorry faust!
