So basically Mah'ri set up Anancy to take down one of Lolth's favorites.

This explains the drider part quite nicely.

PS The happy mother face on the last panel is nearly heartbreaking.

Not necessarily, if people got dridered for taking out those in lolth's favor there'd be driders everywhere. She probably screws up and gets caught.

I'm thinking the high priestess takes her out while destroying the clique. Which also indicates that Mahr'i might have been banished to Easterndark, and is currently on the comeback trail.

Funny to think that so far Bith did better than them all.

I don't think that being de-crowned, publicly humiliated, nearly sold for meat and held as a slave by own sister is a great success.

True, but despite her general incompetence, she still managed to hold the crown without any readily noticeable dissent -- until things really started to slip through her grasp, as when she lost control to Lewstrom and the Keeper.

And she had a lot of company in Lewstrom's case.

Oops, I have made a mistake. In fact, she is owned by Arachne, not Mah'ri. But given the sadist attitudes of Arachne, this is even worse.

Plus is drow kingdoms i doubt her fate and failure were one of a kind.
