Only if they're Level Appropriate encounters, which, given the ones we've seen him one shot, is unlikely.

I suspect those are just the important kills, stamped onto the sword in their own blood.

I dont think they are stamped, just marked with charcoal.

(Actually, I think it was just a sight gag that Rich threw in for the observant)

What would happen to the charcoal markings on the sword that is forcefully propelled through somebody's armour and flesh?

Impaling someone down to the hilt of your sword allows their buddy to kill you while you are trying to get your sword free. Not recommended in a real fight. Generally, you pull your strike before it reaches half of the blade (leaving the lower half near the hilt pristine).

But wouldn't the markings be smeared by the blood or wiped along with it when the sword is wiped?
