Well, now! I'd been wondering what Sittica did with her pet. I was worried for a while that she'd had to get rid of it for some reason, but it looks like 'kitty' grew up fine and strong.

And Yapp? It may be considered rude by Displacer Beasts to address someone's displaced image instead of addressing them directly. ;)

Wouldnt it be more rude to adress them directly, as the displaced image is exactly where they want you to think they are. Thus would be undermining their intentions?

People, people, they're cats. Properly addressing them begins with groveling for your life, while propitiating your feline god(dess) with suitable num-nums.

Oh, so close! But the angle of the head isn't quite right.

Displacer beasts are the one monster that no-one can seem to get right.

Displacer beasts look like panthers with two tentacles on their shoulders, which end in spiked pads. They're under a constant displacement effect, which is natural for them, and causes their image to waver and appear in places where their body actually isn't.

You're millenia late on that one. The resistance probably goes back to sabertooths.

I'd like to point out that since displacer beasts aren't real and don't actually exist, it's impossible to get one "wrong".

This is why I never say anything bad about cats. Hell, if I say something about a cat on T.V. my dog gives me that "oh you stupid S.O.B." look

Only until it wants to lift its leg, play or eat. Or have sex, of course.
