Talked about that one - BK doesn't want to judge one, I'm not qualified to, and we'd have to exclude a decent chunk of the readership because a huge number of our friends are professional artists & animators.

Why not have a competition to come up with the best idea for a competition?

Well, if there was a fan art competition. You could have the members vote on them using the poll option...Weather or not the artist could vote, or not is up to you.

And as far as there being professionals involved...Remember you had a costume contest, and some of us are more practiced with a sewing machine than other.

Other ideas could be:

Best character idea. (Winner would have there creation make a cameo)
Best monster idea. (Winner would have there creation make a cameo)
Make the costume contest an annual Halloween tradition. (Winner could win a signed original / print of the panel of their choice)
A caption contest. (Winner could win a signed copy of that panel)
A short story contest. Be a game related, or a fan fic of YAFGC characters. (Winner could win some sort of resonable cash prize. Or gift card to someplace).

What ya think?

I like all of these ideas! I know i could do better in some than others, but i would try to participate anyway just for the fun of it.

A quick note before we dash off to work - the costume competition was intended to be annual, though we/I haven't gotten around to doing this year's rules posting. But if folks have ideas, go ahead and start - nothing major will change.

As for other contests, some of those ideas are very interesting! BK and I will chat and get back to you.

Oh. I had not realized that and the carnival period is just over here, and with it the shops that sell costume stuff.
Since i really want to participate if i don't find an idea soon i will have to disguise myself as Lyta the nymph i guess :roll:
