A little while ago you posted a link that showed that the Ten Doctors comic was given a proper review on the web. Though the review had mostly praise to heap on you Rich (and rightly so!) it also had what I felt to be quite a cheap shot about how you attempt to juggle so many characters and different plot threads.
I am assuming that you have already seen "the stolen planet" so I was wondering if you feel somewhat vindicated by the fact that Russel T. Davies does EXACTLY THE SAME THING in it, at least in his use of supporting characters that have been threaded through out 'new who'.
I really felt that that the episode had a very "Ten Doctors" feel to it - especially certain parts **trying to keep spoiler free** which seemed like they could have come straight from your story. I suppose this just serves as a true testament to your skills!
Great work!
Goodness, thank you!
You know what I think, though, is that "The Stolen Earth" suffered a bit from what I was accused of. It was a bit clunky, trying to jam all those great fun characters into a single hour of viewing (two, I guess, if we count tomorrow night's episode). One hour episode format tends to make Doctor Who a little claustrophobic, I find. I'm so used to the old 2 to 6 part serials that I find the new episodes to be paced a little frenetically, which suits David Tennant well, I suppose. He is forced to run like hell a lot and shout. I could stand to see a little less shouting. He's hard to understand when he's running around screaming his head off.
As for my comic being clunky? I have no problem accepting that. It's pretty complex. It's pretty stuffed full of cameos, subplots and wackiness. It wasn't meant to be streamlined. It was meant to give me a chance to draw the ultimate Doctor Who comic. The fact that so many people are reading AND ENJOYING it is a definate bonus. That some of you are able to follow it... well, that's pretty much a miracle.

Now. About "The Stolen Earth". Davros, awsome. It was great to see him again, and so well rendered. Like everything else, true to the original and improved believably.
HOWEVER....
The last time we saw Davros, he was in a white eggcup. He had no hand. It was shot off by Orcini of the Order of Oberon in "Revelation of the Daleks". Did the Daleks go back in time and bring him foreward to be emperor BEFORE Revelation? For a show that's been so careful about maintaining continuity from the classic series, this seems to me to be a bit of a booboo. Unless we get some explanation in the finale tomorrow.
