I live in Finland, send me a copy. I won't promise on the one sitting thing, but I'll promise to try it.

Do Dark Caves have electricity? Perhaps slave hamsters clad in leather run endlessly in little wheels to produce enough for the computer to run, so The Witcher can shine on?

Put the fingers away before a slave hamster eats them!

Without them you couldn't play the Witcher.

so... i finally got a chance to play the Witcher... definitely one of the best uses for the Aurora engine (of NwN2 fame, this version of it) ...interesting game all around.. .me likes

EDIT: and i stand corrected... its actually the first Aurora engine (of the original Neverwinter Nights) just heavily modified...I'm impressed

I guess you play the enhanced edition, right? With or without a walkthrough? I had to do Chapter one a second time just to get the full experience after i saw what i had missed.

of course the enhanced version... and yeah, with a walkthrough, but the only bits i missed without it was carrying a package for the smuggler and sleeping with one of the peasant girls (damn tulip chick)

the game is what NwN2 should have been... the setting rocks, the system rocks, the gameplay... mostly rocks (minor interface issues) ...and the enhanced version... REALLY rocks (no more waiting two hours to load... yay! ...oh yeah, no censorship either)

And the 'female conquest' cards keep getting better as you advance!
Graphics are impressive and detailed but i am impressed by the depth of the storyline, also. Not your typical hero, not your typical situations (despite the occasional 'bring me ten wolf pelts' which after is optional) and not your typical dialogues. It gives me a sense of being very adult, and not because of the sexual themes.

I completely agree... gameplay and story over graphics anytime... The Witcher may not be Planescape: Torment, but it comes really close... and it has a crapload more in style and eyecandy

if you haven't already, get your hands on the tv series, I hear it rocks (not so for the movie though, that sucks)

so... I finally got the decent armour... running around killing monsters and lifting curses is profitable, unfortunately sleeping with every bipedal female that walks slower than Geralt is quite expensive... gah, I hate that game (and so does the GF, it doesn't play co-op)

Well if you need money you can always play poker dice to get them. it is one of the few rpgs though where you do not end loaded with money form chapter one.
