Hi, this is Garrett Gilchrist, artist and animator from the WhoSprites lost episode animation project (youtube: ocpmovie). Really enjoying Rich's comic as ever and am continually impressed with the length and scope of it. "Look at the size of that thing ..."

I was at the Gallifrey convention in Los Angeles recently and was talking to Daphne Ashbrook (Grace, 8th Doctor companion) .... someone was telling her about her character's appearance in Rich Morris' "The Ten Doctors," and I decided to elaborate a bit. Telling her that she mistakes Romana for The Doctor and kisses her.

She seemed pretty baffled. =)

Haha, that's awesome. :D I love how she already knew about the comic. XD I wonder if anyone else from the show knows about it... It seems to be famous enough. I was at Polaris last year, a sci-fi con in Toronto, and we met some Doctor Who fans who also knew about The 10 Doctors. We considered doing a skit somewhat based off of it for next year. Last year we almost had ALL the Doctors, we were just missing 1 and 7. It was good fun. :D

Oh my G-d, that's all shades of awesome.

Lily - the T.Dot is my old hometown and a lot of our friends do the con circuit there, so you may well have run into buddies of ours! If you do the skit, we demand video! :D

She didn't already know about the comic - someone was telling her about it and getting her to check it out. But obviously a lot of people know about the comic.

That's interesting to know. Hmm, maybe if she checks it out she'll add a comment? :sneaky:

As soon as you called it the T.dot, I knew you must be from there. XD I don't know anyone but us who call it that, haha. And we prolly did, everyone who recognized Doctor Who was talking to us. What it was, was me (Three), my sister (Two), and a bunch of my friends (Four, Five and Six) who all went together, and we met up with a Nine and an Adric (who went as Four the next day), and later on we met an Eight and lastly a Ten, and we all starting hanging out together and parading around as a paradox of Doctors and we winged a skit last minute and won our section of the masquerade. It was actually the best thing ever. :D And a bunch of us want to do a skit this year, but we need a good script, you know? Doing something from The 10 Doctors WOULD be awesome, but it's hard... Both to do justice to the awesome and to make it equally good to those who had never read it. As popular as it is, I don't think everyone at a con will have read it. XD And also, masquerades have a good crowd usually, but it's still hard to get them to REALLY like you. We'll see how it goes though. :]

This must be you, then:

First google hit on "polaris 22" and "masquerade" was their flickr photo stream. :D

Beautifully done!

(And if you saw a belly dancer hanging out with Sam the American Eagle on the con Saturday, those are the costume track organizers for most of the Toronto cons - they entered the Master division in the Masq. I dated the belly dancer's brother in high school and the cosplayer inside Sam was Rich's college girlfriend. ;) )

:D :D :D

I hated that wig. So much. And the costume was so unflattering. XD But it's ok 'cause I was Three and that wins.

And yes! They were RIGHT in front of us in the line for going on stage! We were talking to them while waiting for out turn. They were awesome and really nice. :D

Now I'm all giddy and totally exiting for this years Polaris. :D
