I think the goddess was an idiot in destroying the mountain. Lets really make everyone hate us…oh and now we have an angry lich after us!
Lewie? You mean King of ‘Skeleton Gardening’. Even if he is a ringleader of the undead, would a goddess who eats other gods for elevenses care about the lich who got Jone with a snap of his fingers? I mean: accidentally? Okay, maybe you do have a point.
Yeah, despite all his other bumblings and failures, THAT was a pretty impressive point to add to his CV…
… that and enslaving most of the Mountain with his magical rings, even if he got a bit of help from a Goddess for that 🙂
Smooth.
Elves are a eloquent and poetic people. Mostly
Didn’t we already determine that any gold and riches under Black Mountain have been mined out?
i assume he is talking about Maula bloodhands treasury but yes when the Keeper took over it was made clear there was no gold in the mountain itself 😛
Yep, established lack of gold…
That’s what I was thinking. "Gold? What gold? There ain’t no gold. A pissed off Lich and a bunch of beholders, but no gold."
Probably a sleeping and/or really pissed off Beholder King too.
Wasn’t that the far future? Perhaps here we see the reason why future archeologist find little remaining treasure.
In other words – simple!
If you happen to have an excavator or the equivalent.
t!

If the mountain is now a crater, then that means a lot of what used to be the mountain will now be scattered across the landscape in teeny tiny pieces. Or dust in the atmosphere. Gonna make collecting treasure difficult. Oops.
real wordsmith that one
Sounds like there’s be a heck of a lot of digging involved.
