Admittedly, news could barely move in the middle ages, what with the limitations of horse transport and rampant illiteracy. But still, these guys must be especially cut-off from the world to not even hear about their own political state.
Which is probably good, since it’s unlikely the Rannites would have visited.
Hm, I figure Shaija gets the tunic, and can tie her sheet into some kind of skirt, and Glon gets the pants, and can arrange his sheet as a poncho… though they will probably want to wash the cloths in the river before wearing them.
Given that he still thinks Baron Owen is alive, Mr Fugg is about… 30 years behind the times. Which even in a medieval magical world is a sign that you are SERIOUSLY out of touch with the outside world.
Most people under any kind of monarchy didn’t get around much…Travel was expensive & dangerous. Towns & villages were spread apart & very few had enough differences in the economy to make it worth moving. Serf/peasant movements were tracked. Many were too poor to move around much anyway. All in all, several generations of families would usually be born, live/work & die without ever seeing anything beyond the next hill.
I thought it was a Dukedom. A lot’s changed behind the scenes.
or I’m slow.
Nope, it’s a Dukedom. You’re not nearly as slow as Fisherman Fugg!
oh, well, that’s good!
The Fishermen called the name "Owen" – who were Glon's father, and already died a few years ago. Fugg still lives in the past.
I do not recall a Baron Owen. When did he last appear?
Oh, wait never mind. That is Glon’s father. He’s been dead how long now?

Or they did take a look and figure it wasn’t worth the effort.

Not as different as all that from the modern era. Except they’d be typing
Reminds me of 99% of the conversations on youtube…
Glon may not be a Fisherman’s Friend, but I think an argument could be made that Fugg is a sucker.
t!
Wasn’t something said about space-time disturbances? That’s how we got the crossover, right? Well, that may be at play here…
Good point. Everyone missed that.
