Well that would certainly have the emotional cruelty desired, but it’s risky as Flannet is probably strong willed enough to retain control, which would be basically making a rod for her own back.
But she is now Lady Greyfort, and infecting a victim with lycanthropy makes them part of your family… Niko would be effectively turning Flannet into a "daughter of the pack"… and we all remember the Greyfort Curse…
One of these opponents is demonstrating hubris.
The other, faith in a loved one.
This contest is already over. Not that the one with hubris will know it until later.
t!
Given what we learned about Flannet so far, I rather had the impression she demonstrates the boosting effects of the maternal battle-instinct, which often comes with the line "I have to protect my child!" Though in her case I think it’s rather "It’s time to get my gear!" 🙂
It seems like something is missing here, like, and entire strip or two between where we left off last strip…matronly mom (Flannet? I’ve lost track of names here), last we saw was nose to nose with the new mistress of the castle, and now, in an eyeblinck, the situation is completely different?
@Ørjan it does. Remember back when Lucas was bitten and was considered part of Niko’s pack, Niko claimed him as a mate. Mate of the Duke of Greyfort…

I do believe someone just decided to smack the bottle of nitro with a hammer…..
Hrm…so Niko did nothing to her? That’s…odd, for such a foul tempered werewolf.
It all depends on what Niko’s better idea is, I guess.
Even still, you’d have thought she’d torture her a little.
She may have, but it had such little effect and was brushed off, that it wasn’t worth mentioning/showing :D.
Not possible given the timeline of the strip and crossovers between scenes.
I have a sudden idea what the "better plan" could be, but if she does what I think she’s thinking of doing, she’s just screwed herself royally.
Making mom a werewolf?

And let us not forget the GENERATIONS of ghosts who just like living there.
I remember it, and its words don’t fit your theory at all. http://yafgc.net/comic/0847-curse-or-no-curse/

You just don’t want to bark on "that" tree, girl…
Ever so surprisingly, the mother Charles and Cadugan is a badass.
Go get ’em Flannet!

A duke is not a baron, and Rich has explicitly stated that Lucas and Cadugan are counting on that difference saving Cadugan from the curse.
