Does it come with a crazy kobold captain?
How could it not?
I am getting the impression this is not a water-based ship.
t!
That would be. . . FANGTASTIC!!
. . . I’ll see myself out. . .
More importantly, is its name some variant of "Hindenburg", "Flying Dutchman" or "Titanic"?
Yamato
"Azure Osprey"
Hood
Bismarck
Andrea Doria
Indianapolis
Wasa
Ark Royal
Oh crap! Not that Kobold, puleese!
Lord Dave, of the ancient version of the Dave Conspiracy. Heh heh heh.
Shhhh! The first thing about the Dave Conspiracy is we don’t talk about the Dave Conspiracy. 🙂 😛
Nobody tells me nothing
Does that mean everybody tells you everything?
Cap’n Fang is coming back!!! Yay!
It might be, but my bet is on a "flying ship", otherwise it wouldn't give a lot of advantage in the middle of the land…
Gee, Runt, bitching much? He’s usually more reasonable in situations of crisis.
He’s not bitching at all. He’s making demands; that’s not the same thing.
t!
But they’re unreasonable demands.
There is still a significant difference between ‘being unreasonable’ and ‘complaining’.
t!
"Join us – !"
No, wait, that’s something else.
I love your title. Obviously.
t!
"Legends of the Jade Princess!" It took me WAAY too long to get that one! *slaps self*
I love Eddy’s face in Panel Three: He just *knows* Elwood’s objections are only going to make things worse. Like he’s tried to reason with Runt already, to no avail.
t!
Rich, thank you so much! I can’t begin to tell you how delighted I am by this story line. I’ve enjoyed YAFGC for so many years, and I’m honored to have a small part in your world. Thank you again.
Congratulations. I can’t wait to see the arc unfold! 😀
I do hope it’s an airship.
Was thinking this as well
Are they aware other parts of the kingdom have been taken back and can be joined up with? I’m assuming there isn’t a lot of communication going on with the rannites everywhere.
Caelin was last seen with Cadugan and Lucas shortly before they took back Greyfort, so they may know about that.
Looking at the map Rich posted a few strips before, Greyfort, Eddy’s Tower and Elwood City are relatively close to each other. It seems like all these places are free from Rannites, so moving between them and passing on information could be more or less safe.
I had to check now the archives to see the order of storylines. Looking at the people gathered here, they should know about half(?) the things that we know. 🙂
Interesting to see how this develops. I’m embarrassed that I didn’t immediately get the context–I forgot the Rannites were still around, and was wondering why heretofore allies were going to be attacking each other.
Celebrated way too much about Glon & Co.’s victory, I think.
I keep thinking "Azure Osprey" is a Blue Falcon reference. Where’s the YAFGC version of Dynomutt? ;P
Y’mean, Dog Wonder? Fearless, Scareless -a little too careless. He’s a Go-Go Dog… person.
I didn’t realize until I was actually working on the revamped Inspector Gadget that he not only ripped off Inspector Clouseau and Maxwell Smart, but ALSO Dynomutt. His gadgets are all the same and that’s where they got the "Go-Go-Gadget" reference!!
Heh, kinda knew about the Clouseau & Smart ‘homage’, butt didn’t get the Dynomutt connection until now, thank you
Can vaguely remember watching Dynomutt and can remember his similar ‘limbs’
Ordering a major offensive in just a few hours before you have the outline of a plan? That seems like a stupid decision that could have been avoided with Fang on the throne.
Seriously, though, even if you knew how to do it, ordering an attack in less than a day is probably a bad idea coming from a position of weakness. A good plan to take a castle with (presumably) an inferior force takes time to implement. The alternative is to use openings in the enemy's defense to take the castle in a surprise coup which is something you can't plan (or rely on) since you won't know the openings ahead of time.
Even if you're in a position of *strength* it's a bad idea if you haven't any of the necessary preparations. I don't know why he would be so impatient all of a sudden.
