Sorry about the archive wonkiness. Not sure exactly what you’re experiencing that’s wonkie but it works well enough for me. It’s just a bit large and unwieldy. There’s not a whole lot I can do change it, but if there’s a fix I can make, please let me know.

It recently ~stopped… at the exact same time I began using a stylus to ease the hand stress. (Don’t laugh.)
Are the buttons maybe TOO pressure sensitive? Or smaller than they should be? Or larger? (I’m talking digital footprint, not Art Object.)
Anyway, it hasn’t occurred even ONCE in the week I’ve been using the stylus, not my finger.
Apart from the server errors which you’ve hopefully fixed, the individual archive pages for characters, locations and chapters still have broken navigation – previous and next page are backwards, and the old list of archive subpages to click is entirely missing, e.g. making it hard to get to the *last* pages showing a frequent character. The backwards thing is just confusing the first time I guess, and for jumping I’ve been getting around the last problem by editing urls by hand.
1: after a certain point you’re going to adapt to things… Ranna doesn’t quite seem to get that. After a week or two of constant hellfire, you’re barely even going to feel the heat. Ditto worms, leeches, etc.
2: Ranna has punished every servant killed by the heroes without even bothering to interrogate them. She just keeps proving how stupid she is. She has a lot of raw power because she had a bunch of servants working hard on her behalf while she was dead. Now that she’s in charge she’s… running everything into the ground as quickly as she can.
There are things you’re not able to adapt well. Sensory deprivation for example. Also, that thing where water is dripping on your head is supposed to make you crazy.
Loki is supposed to be punished by poison dripping on his face. According to description, its not just poison but something caustic … and it’s possible that due to the dripping, he’s not able to get used to it …
Skadi’s snake drips the venom into Loki’s eyes, while his wife Sigyn attempts to stop it by holding a bowl under the snake to catch the venom, but once the bowl is full, she must go and empty it, allowing the venom to drip once more into Loki’s eyes. Causing him pain and anguish which causes him to thrash within his bindings (which are made of the entrails of one of his sons )killed by his other son who was turned into a wolf,) and turned to iron) causing earthquakes in Midgard.
Depends on your sources. Some sites describing tortures used the term waterboarding and water torture interchangeably.
I know the difference between them. Waterboarding being strapped to a plank head down, with your mouth and nose covered, which quantities of water are poured over your head to stimulate drowning. Used for interrogation.
Chinese Water torture is being strapped down to a plank and have water dripped on your forehead without a break.
Loki suffers from a form of the Chinese water torture.
Actually, the better torture <I>would</I> involve breaks, at random times for random lengths of time
After awhile, you <I>can</I> get use to the continuous drips, and can even ‘tune them out’
And water boarding can be as you described, with a towel or cloth over your head with water poured over it, or simply dunked (usually backwards for added ‘torture’) while strapped to a board
But Ranna’s not subtle enough to think about finding tortures her victims won’t adapt to. Especially not someone with Ch’Thier’s discipline and mental resources. Worms or no worms, I would wager that if any chance arises to act against her sister, Ch’Thier will be in capable condition to seize the opportunity.
Still having trouble with the comments. Trying to reply to someone, I got bumped to the Comment At The Bottom interface. And an earlier attempt at replying got eaten.
And as for the strip – I love that angle through the giant curved display glass.
Strange! I’m not experiencing these things. The site must be having trouble with the amount of content…. Keep me posted on that and I’ll try to see if it can be fixed.
I’ve been seeing this for the last 3 weeks. If I try to post a comment soon after a new strip is posted, I get denied. Usually after a few days I can post again so just assumed an update or housekeeping was being done.
Yeah, been getting a rash of ‘505 Internal Errors’ just for viewing the page, with a few ‘404’ errors when attempting to post something (unfortunately the posts still mostly go through despite the error)
Noticing a dramatic speed and reliability improvement today from the site. If my experience is representative, today’s changes are making a difference. Thank you!

Originally had wrote ‘worms’, changed it to leeches as could vaguely remember Ranna pulling one of the things off 🙁
Tried to go back and look at what happened before to Ch’Thier but archives are bit wonkey. And name tag doesn’t help either.
