All together now :
" Toe bone connected to the foot bone
Foot bone connected to the heel bone
Heel bone connected to the ankle bone
Ankle bone connected to the shin bone "
THERE it is!
What all the folks accusing her of being too quick to zorch Lewie seem to have missed: WE know who Lewie is; she does not.
She registered his appearance before firing. Because, y’know, she has some experience at this.
t!
We only see a before and after turning. We don’t see what happened during 😉
It’s a testament to Rich’s movement of drawing, that it becomes so real that that is what we remember.
This is one of those cases where it amuses me to /not/ explain what I had in mind for the sequence of events in the previous strip.
In general I prefer to keep these strips to 4 panels or less. Occasionally something dramatic or story-relevant will happen where I need more than 4 panels, sometimes even a couple of pages all at once. But I try to be very efficient in my panel use.
As a result I often have to portray complex actions in a single drawing and while I know what I have in mind for these occasions, I am often amused by how these get read or interpreted by you readers when you a)read something different to what had intended and even more so when b)you have different ideas of what happened and discuss/argue amongst yourselves about it.
Yes, in my head I know exactly what Naomi did when she both whirled around and fired off a spell in panel three of the previous strip. But I’m not going to tell you. I like that your stories differ to the ones I tell sometimes.
Lewie should consider getting his bones engraved with index numbers for ease of reassembly instead of having to examine each one and figure out where it goes like he’s doing in panel 1. It’s good he’s got a routine — you can see how he’s already sorted through them and laid them out in preparation but a more systematic approach would be more efficient.
He seems to have a few spare long bones though
Ata is holding his left arm (upper, lower and hand), his left leg is fully attached, his right thigh bone is attached, he is holding a long bone in his right hand, and there are two long bones on the ground beside him
Depends on if it’s "ooooooOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooo!" (sounding as in ‘choo’) or if it was meant to be "ooooooOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooh!" (sounding as in ‘no!’) 😀
One is the sound of mischief and the other the sound of understanding
RAIDING PARTY!
It’s really difficult to go Ooooooo without lips.
It’s really difficult to say ANYTHING without tongue, or without lungs, or with mouth not closed, so … Lewie must have experience 🙂
(I mean "without the ability to close mouth")
I hear Deedee from Dexter’s Lab.
I was hearing Elmyra from Tiny Toons
Oh yes, now can hear it 😀
At least Lewie always has a jigsaw to keep him entertained whilst he recovers from being zapped.
Now they need to meet and team up with the clumsy adventurers team (Slissy, Goldwolf, and so on).
See, this is what I miss from the old days, when a couple of adventurers could just meet and spend time together, putting a lich back together.
At least the girls apologized, so, thumbs up! 🙂
Halflings are the Canadians of D&D, purely in that you can always count on them to be polite and to be more formidable than they initially appear. ^_^
And if you move the comma in the second speech in panel two, they are not apologizing 😛
Hmm, is that a good "ooooooOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooo!" or a bad "ooooooOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooo!"?
And yes, counted the ‘o’s 😛
My bet is a We-Know-Where-We-Should-Be-Going-Now "ooooooOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooo!"
All together now :

And the hip bone’s connected to the… thigh bone!
Lewie, I’ve got a bone to pick with you – your right toe 😛
You can totally tell they are siblings 😀

At least with Lewie, you can actually "Blast First, Ask Questions Later" and get an actual answer.
No, she started blasting as soon as she heard someone ask "Excuse me…"
She didn’t turn and _then_ blast, she started the blast _while_ turning
We only see a before and after turning. We don’t see what happened during 😉
It’s a testament to Rich’s movement of drawing, that it becomes so real that that is what we remember.
We can see her arm still moving

Didn’t mean any disrespect, and everything (seems to have) worked out fine 😀
Really need to make sure spelling is correct, specially after having problems all night with letters ending up missing 🙁
On second viewing she does look well cocked 🙂

And it helps he has a sister who doesn’t mind handling his bones
I love the organized array of bones Ata and Lewie have laid out like parts on a mechanic’s workbench.
"Yeah, we have to do this a lot."
He seems to have a few spare long bones though
Ata is holding his left arm (upper, lower and hand), his left leg is fully attached, his right thigh bone is attached, he is holding a long bone in his right hand, and there are two long bones on the ground beside him
"Emergency backup limbs. Didn’t I just say, this happens A LOT?"
The forearm and lower leg both have two bones. The Forearm bones being the Ulna and Radius, and the lower leg bones being the Tibia and Fibula.
They both do? Okay, thank you
The siren of doom… when a lich and his (apparently immortal) sister go "oooOOOOOOOOOooo!!!
