Howdy! So, I really love your comic. I just started reading it about a month back, and I up to the year 2011. That being said, I noticed that a huge chunk of your comics were suddenly missing from your archive. I figured there is a good chance you are already aware of the issue, but on the off chance that you were not, I thought I would drop you a line. Good luck and please keep up the good work.
Yup! We’re in the middle of a massive site update, and all comics should be back in place in the archives with new tags and metadata and such within the next day or two. Please see our facebook page and the blog for news updates.
There are well over 2000 strips to process -rename, tag upload, import, assign locations and characters, etc- and I have a very limited amount of time to do it in each night -and I can’t give every night to do it in, so I ask that everyone please be patient. It’s taking longer than I’d like, but the added info will be worth it.
I absolutely love this comic. This is my third time reading through. I really enjoy the characterization. You really seem to care about the characters which makes me care too.
Thank you and I look for to the furture
As a work around to the missing comics, you can use the Select a story arc drop down. I was able to access the missing comics that way.
Thank you so much, I’m glad you’re enjoying it. The thing with the drop menu doesn’t work for accessing strips I haven’t put on the site yet, I’m afraid. The only way to actually see ones I haven’t uploaded and indexed is to use the Wayback Machine site.
I see what you mean. The Wormhunter archive seems to have disappeared. Oddly, I can go through the strips by clicking the next or back button, but the archive itself seems to think it’s gone.
I’ve checked the site and they’re all there, all labeled and tagged and indexed correctly, so I have no idea what’s gone wrong.
I’ve tried clearing the cache on the site, so if it hasn’t sorted itself out soon I’ll try looking into it more deeply. Thanks for the heads-up!
I just wanted to say thank you for making your comic. It really brightens up my day. Also after reading that you were adding more of your older pages relieved me as I thought I had imagined Bolo. Thanks again for all your hard work.
Hey I just wanted to say that I love your comic. I have been reading it for a the few years and I tend to reread through it every few months. Keep of the great work!
I have been following you since the beginning and have enjoyed it immensely. Things are really heating up now, I can’t wait to see where you take this.
Also, it seems you have a fan in Russia: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/dungeon-sisters-miniatures#/I ah
Welcome! Glad to have you among us. π
And as for the link….woah. I need a set of those in my collection, heh….They do seem a lot like my Dungeon Mistresses. Love to claim credit, but I stole mine nearly wholesale from "Dungeon Keeper", so it’s more likely they played the same games in the mid 90’s that I did.
The characters on the "Celestial Raven" are most of the cast of a D&D game I played in wayyyy back. The Elf and the Dwarf, of course, (Edrumore and Theorie) are still alive and kicking and they’re part of the crowd visiting Pado on his birthday. Pado is *not* my character, my character from that campaign is conspicuous in his absence. He’s the great grandfather of Eric of Drostardy I and he sacrificed himself into the Abyss to keep the evil god from rising. Nobody knows if he’s alive or dead, but the legend says that he will return someday when Drostardy needs him again.
This strip was a commemoration of the game, the characters, the players and the GM (Rob) on the anniversary of the first session.
Vol.1: The First Year- Covers the first 366 strips of the comic which contains all chapters up to "First Anniversary" and an ‘artist’s section’ at the back with notes and commentary.
Vol.2: The Hands of Fate – Contains all the strips from the following chapters: Turg’s Saga, Intermission 2, Two-Heads Ed Finds Love, Clover’s Fortunes, and Intermission 3. It also has an ‘artist’s section’ at the back and extra strips not seen online.
Vol.3: Lich of the Rings – Contains all the strips from:: Lich of the Rings part I, part II, and part III and Intermission 4. Plus an artist’s section and extra strips.
Vol.4: The Axe in the Rock – Contains all the strips from: Ghosts of Greyfort, The Axe in the Rock, Intermission 5, The Lives and Loves of Nike, Intermission 6, How Familiar, The Great Bardic Challenge and Clover’s Family, . Plus artist’s section and extra strips.
Vol.5: Bloodfire – Contains all the strips from: Enter the Keeper, Queen Under the Mountain, Bloodfire, The Sorcerer’s Assistant, Intermission 7, Jone:Half-Orc, Welcome Back Lewstrom, Monster High, and Sorta Bad Things. Plus artist’s section and extra strips.
Vol. 6 is in production, as in I’m working on the extra strips when I get a chance, which isn’t very often.
Hey YATPF (great name!)! Thanks for the tip, the reason it’s not working atm is because I’m (veeerrryyy sloooowly) in the process of migrating my ‘shop’ to an on-site version. I only just recently figured out how to get it working and I got really busy just as I was about to start trying to figure out how to work it into the site. I’ll try to get on it real soon.
I know you are very busy right now, so I know it will not be for a while. Do you know when your commissions will open up again? I would appreciate getting to order from you.
I emailed earlier this week to check on an order I placed in the store, havenβt heard back. Just wanted to make sure the store is still open and processing orders π
Just a heads up, the most recent comic got double posted- At some point you may want to fix that. Anyone here looking for the missing image should remove the [-2] from the end of the link after they look at comments to see the actual comic.
I stumbled upon your website, www.yafgc.net, and I must say, your black and white fantasy gaming satire webcomic is a work of art.

Not sure there's much can be done to help the YAFGC site. It's old and cludgey and … well some things that clearly SHOULD work simply don't.
I'm just wondering what is going on with your comics blog. Every time I try to access it, I get a database connection error. I know it was working earlier this year.
Hey Robin;
(I've really gotta start checking these messages!) I hope you're able to get in now. There's no denying that the site is old and really messed up. But with my limited tech abilities, I'm trying to keep it afloat. Are you accessing okay now?
Hi Rich, I don't know about when Robin posted, but for me, comics.shipsinker.com is definitely showing "Error establishing a database connection." I hope you're able to fix it!
Hi Richard; I remember being obsessed with The Ten Doctors when it first was released. With the recent Whomania I thought Iβd go back to re red but saddened to see the website is have errors. Is it available anywhere else?

Well, it’s 2 weeks later and I still can’t access the archives at the point where I left off (around episode 350 or so). Will the site be fixed soon?

Well the fact that you guys are working on it means you can ignore my post on the latest comic

Just letting you guys know – the chapter wormhunter is broken. 1667 doesn’t load and the chapter itself is broken in the archive.

I’ve done a bit of maintenance but it’s still a bit weird. The chapter is back, however.

The comics from 2416-2599 are missing from the archive, and the chapter dropdown list. I’ve tried to find them, but it keeps coming up page not found.

Happy birthday, Rich. ^_^ And many more!
Is this strip dead in the water?
It is not! In fact, I’ve got a new strip lined up to go up tomorrow (today being Sunday Feb 6th)
It may sometimes be in the doldrums, but it is *never* belly-up.
t!
Hello,
Just bringing to your attention that the link to the shop from upper left opens a "Page not found".
The link on the bottom is working fine.
Another great comics added to my Feedly !
Thank you !
