Wolf knew it was Lewie almost right away. It seems Lewie’s disguise was mostly visual, but wolf probably recognized the taste of tomb dust on Lewie’s "lips."
😉
…Now why would you think he’d "recognize" that?
You think he goes around licking tombstones? I doubt it. Ladies squeal much more entertainingly than slabs of concrete.
For SOME reason, I see Lewie as more of a "Magic Jar" (Necromantic possession spell) type of guy, rather than "Disguse Self" (glamour Illusion) caster. It isn’t even that Necromancers, in this kind of setting are stereotypically bad at Illusions…I’d expect him to even prefer "Dominate Person", which is also a type of spell Necromancers are often less apt to use in D&D-type settings, to something like "Polymorph"; Lewis just seems the sort to use people as tools, so I’d bet that nameless Priestess might actually be someone Wolf knows…just with Lewie inside, controlling her body, maybe a living body, maybe not. Either way, Wolf is just better at the whole "reading people" thing than whatever type of magic the lich is using, can account for!
It isn’t helped by the fact he’s the only person who knew what it does in the first place. I can see that being the point Wolf catches on, and he just went along with it cause a female drow was telling him to.
You can always betray her later for another promotion after all.
I dunno. Clearly evil goddesses like the one Lewis serves (I forget the name right now) know about the crystal and what it does. The idea that Lolth informed her priestesses seems pretty plausible.
That offer is *FAR* too heavy-handed and blatant for any respectable Priestess of Lolth to attempt. The reason? Any priestess who doesn’t learn subtlety is quickly killed off by her rivals and Wolf knows it. And Lewie is anything but subtle.
Wait, so that was the lich king in disguise?

Wolf probably knows every female Drow in the Mountain (and half the males 😛 )

Nah, Wolf is a playah, he would *never* turn down a free snog 😀
