I do wonder about the slave numbers. I doubt that Sittica's family have 55 other slaves, so they can't be numbered per owner, but the numbers have all been awfully small for them to be counting *all* the drow slaves. It makes it look like there are only a hundred or so slaves overall. Are the drow numbers really that small?
I think those numbers are their "slavery numbers" for identification. Wolf has the number 37 on it's shoulder, while the wood elven noble had the number 8 (it could be seen, when he was disguised as a drow chick, and Charlotte helped "her" to escape, so she can get in it's place).
