Is it odd that I find the weirdest thing about this arc the fact that temperate-forest-dweller Cadugan knows what a rhinoceros is?
I presume you yourself are not a resident of the African savanna, and YOU know what a rhinoceros is, don’t you?
Cadugan presumably spent time growing up with both sets of his relatives (before deciding as an adult he’d rather avoid them both and live in the deep woods). They might not have The Discovery Channel in this universe, but they do have books to teach children with.
We are living in the information age, they are not. That's an idiotic argument.
