Lewie, if this doesn’t answer the question of whether or not the evil of stealing that artifact outweighed the good (thus far) of what you’re doing, I don’t know what does.
Didn’t the subject of Looney Tunes come up recently in the comic post discussions?
Because this is starting to seriously take a turn for the Looney Tunes. With Lewie playing the role of Wile E. Coyote.
I say this as a guy who loved Looney Tunes growing up, and still loves Looney Tunes. But I always rooted for the Coyote.
Retroactive Spoiler: But even the legendary Chuck Jones, the author of Coyote vs. Road Runner and possibly the greatest cartoonist of all time, never gave us Coyote fans such a satisfying denouement as what happens (or rather, will happen?) in Episode 1400.
The WB cartoons, and Coyote and Roadrunner in particular, had a major impact on my decision to pursue cartoon animation as a career. MEEP MEEP!
Since I’ve been in the industry as an adult I’ve also rediscovered Tom & Jerry. Not the lame ones from the 70’s but the original Hannah Barbara ones that Coyote and Roadrunner were parodying in the first place.
Absolutely brilliant. The motion and timing and music… everything is perfection. I wish I’d been around to see this stuff being pioneered.
I urge you to take some time and read through the archive. There are dozens upon dozens of WB moments throughout.
I also point out to anyone who hasn’t figured it out yet, But Rich got the archive caught up. I spent the weekend re-reading the entire Jone: Half-Orc Story arc and all the way forward to the present.
I cannot emphasize enough how important that is to really understand the current story arc. The Night Queen arc has some critical details that synchronize up with information that has been divulged in the current arc.
And, there are numerous WB slapstick gags that are pretty easy to spot in that segment of the archive. (Not to say they were lacking, _EVER_, in YAFGC … just, you don’t have to re-read from the beginning to get a flavor of how many there are.)
_______
Rich, once again: Thank You for YAFGC! I got a lot of laughs this past weekend that I really needed. Some good feels, too. It continues to impress me just how touching some of the personal moments are between some of these characters.
Further, that was some brutal work on your part to get the archive pretty much in order … Thank You very much for that, also. I’d been chomping at the bit to re-read the Night Queen arc (among other recent work). It helped immensely to be able to refresh my memory on some key events and hints.
Wow, 3Xp4t (That’d be a great ‘droid name, btw) you’re very welcome!! But that’s not the whole archive. There’s still a whole truckload of chapters before this one. "Macabre" featuring a vampire in Costal, "Coup d’Drow" featuring the massive political uproar in the Black Mountain -which also impacts the current storyline, incidentally), "Mountain Quest" with Morgana’s adventurers and others! I’m still working on it, promise!
(yes, I’ve used that exact line a few times on my journeys through the Interwebz)
And, of course you are correct, good sir. I used "pretty much in order" because I know the Coup dβDrow is still missing. But, wow. It’s amazing how easy it it is to forget stuff. I was thinking that "pretty much" _only_ Coup dβDrow was missing … but I’m shocked to be reminded of other arcs that weren’t at the top of my mind.
For the record, I joined YAFGC about the time Turg popped The Question to his Sphinx (a pretty captivating scene). With a couple of short interruptions, I’ve more or less followed every installment as they’ve been published, and have regularly dived back into the archives for refreshers.
No hurry on my account. I’ll enjoy everything in its own good time, thank you. π
"They’ve got a Lich!! FIRE!!!"
"But… he’s facing away from the castle…"
"Just means he’s the leader and giving a pep talk!! Trebuchet sneak attack!! FIRE!"
Lewie: "What… the… HELLS!!!"
this is merely a setback, we all know it end in a tactical nuclear spell then Lewie have learn the advantages of surprise attack and overwhelming force….
Angles/arcs can be measured in both radians and degrees, with drastically different results if mistaken for each other when firing catapults, I would imagine. π
Yeah, got a feeling Radians are bigger than Degrees (like inches and centimetres: giving a measurement in inches and having the builder use centimetres instead is going to result in a much smaller object)
It’s even worse when you mix up the two different measuring systems. Nothing quite like trying to use a 0.5cm bolt to hold parts in place that were drilled with a 5/8" hole.
Que…"Curses"!

Not even when Wile actually caught the blasted Speed Bird? o_O
Wile E. holds up a placard sign: "Now what do I do?"

Yep, I saw that one.
π
He was a bit small when he did it, I know.
Well Lewie and Wile E are anagrams. Coincidence? I think not!

On a related note, keep in mind that the red-haired gal shown at this link has "Anvil" as her hero-name:

I can’t find any comic in the Coup d’Drow arc, and it’s my favorite. Could you link me?
Still building the archives. Hang on, it’ll be up soon.
I am not the droids you are looking for … π

The people in the castle aren’t very good shots, are they? o_O

Lewie: "What… the… HELLS!!!"
Sounds like something that would happen in my ideal campaign.
>.>
<.<
This has happened in my Pathfinder campaign… as well as "TREBUCHET LICH ATTACK!!!!"
Sounds like fun campaigns π
Feeling sorry for poor Lewie. Curses!

There’s nothing that quite beats those who have a reckless enthusiasm for excessive firepower.
My nerd brain just imagined that afterwards the humans went "I said radian! Not degrees!" π
No idea what that means, but π
