I think Glon’s wives would probably be a potential threat too, maybe not as dangerous as ‘Racks, but he needs to live with them…and his mom has been known to put them in charge of punishing him, if he insults them…cheating might qualify.
No wonder Arachne’s pissed off at him; she’s a LESBIAN, and HE turned her on in the only way a drow can be turned on. If he hadn’t left she would have lost her hetero-virginity right then and there.
It’s worse than that, even. Remember, all under Lolth’s sway are indoctrinated to be hardcore racists. Non-Drow are inherently inferior to them. So a non-Drow male not only rendered her helpless but also made her want to have his babies? Let’s just say that she would let him have her… but he would pay every second of the encounter. He’d live for two reasons: 1) Mama Bloodhand would murder her in a way that would survive on the lips of bards until the end of time and 2) she’d want to drag him off to her basement to make the exact extent of her displeasure known.
I doubt, though, that Arachne actually is under Lolth's sway. Sure, she's friendly enough with the spider demon drinking her booze but she has no problem whatsoever to stand up to Lolth if she threatens something she cares about.
Delicious irony! He’s wanted to get Arachne in bed since he met her, and now that she’s finally interested, HE’S matured to the point where cheating on his wives is unthinkable to him.
More like he knows that she isn't into men, so her coming on to him like this really freaks him out. Plus that she might hold a grudge afterwards once she's calmed down.
