Question to Rich: Arachne speak about Elzear’bith to Maula. Is it known that the jester is the real ex-drow queen, or only that the a jester who calling herself Elzear’bith (for comic effect)
Guesticus is right, though it’s not actually a secret. Elzear’bith flip-flops between enjoying life as a popular entertainer and a political shit disturber, and demanding her old life as queen back.
Most of the people are so taken with Nephilia as the Drow Queen that they’ve sort of forgotten what the old riegn was like, so the’ve similarly forgotten that Elzear’bith was Queen and don’t believe the crazy fool when she claims to be her.
Those who are politically active like Queen Maula, Glon, Lewie and so on, who actually had to deal with her in person, remember who and what she was.
At some point between the creation of the "Order of the Spider" and YAFGC present it became a sort of semi-legendary secret society (like the Illuminati or the Masons) and Arachne has been happy to cultivate the mystique. How or why the idea of Arachne can intimidate Wolf into betraying Mahr’i is not clear yet but she still does things in secret.
Maula also knows something about what Arachne is and does, but how much she knows is not clear. (See "Coup D’Drow" for another example of this).

Nephilia seems pretty up to speed, but she doesn’t seem to care very much. Perhaps as a (semi)immortal herself and having been through what she’s seen & been through in her long, evil life … Ranna’s evil might seem a bit abstract and passing. Gods come and go in the lifetime of a Drow.
It’s Maula that is still getting up to speed on just how serious it is and could be; that’s why she’s leaning on a trusted adviser. She is THE Queen now. Nephilia has the luxury of walking away and letting it rest on the Queen’s head … and Maula is looking a bit weary, the crown a bit heavy. Orcs don’t generally live so long, and she’s been through a lot. Not entirely sure she’s at the top of her game, and now Ranna is dumped in her lap.
Glon might be inheriting the crown a little sooner than expected. Maula’s legendary reputation and stunning feats, I think, are obscuring the reality to many around her that she is an aging grandmother. She herself might not have fully brought that to the surface of her consciousness.
Anyway. Those would be my speculations and analysis. I’m gonna hold some of the more exotic possibilities closer to the vest for a bit yet.

No if she was killed there could of been problems making her a happy clown was really smart since Arachne would never know when she might need those secrets , but in someone else’s hands?
