I saw the name shawn, and instantly thought of Nanny Oggs son who does alllll the jobs XD
…. I don’t know what that means.
Terry Pratchett’s Discworld series has a character named Shawn Ogg who does a lot of different official jobs for the King and Queen of Lancre in a way that’s almost reminiscent of the old comedic tv skit where, say, the mechanic, post master, sheriff, and mayor are all the same person with different hats on. He’s a fun character in general, but not really Shawn of Shallmar.

No, I think he’s still her father, but her mother was Ranna’s daughter mentioned some months ago in this arc. Shawn seems to like ladies with varying degrees of evil alignment in their backgrounds. I’d worry about King Runt’s new fiance.

At the time I was a little confused about that, upon seeing the next page.
All this does have me trying to put together a mental timeline, though. Nobody seems to be as young as I think they are or they are all affected by the slow aging process that was applied to Saidrah.

Holy crap. I found this comic from doing a web search of Lolth, was curious as to what this was, saw THIS comic and realized I had no idea what was going on. So I figured I’d just start from the beginning because really, how long could it take? I read through the entire series this past week and now I’m totally hooked. Amazing and brilliant! What a lucky find!
Also, I must admit – Cap’n Fang has grown on me. 😛
Rich, it is impressive to see how your drawing style and skill has developed over the past nine years. It’s very inspirational. It’s hard to keep at something consistently this long. And I’m glad you have. 🙂
Wow! Thank you very much! It has been tough from time to time to keep YAFGC going at a consistant rate for so long, but I’ve got some great support, lots of ideas and a love for the characters. So there will be much more to come if I have anything to say about it! 😀 And thanks for making it through the archive binge! That’s a lot of comics!

And Vanessa defeated Ranna last time, with the help of Anna, and Shawn knows all about it? Another story we haven’t heard?
Wait, now I’m confused. Shawn fathered Jone with Goria and Anna with… Saidrah? How did he come to meet Saidrah? And how the hell is he even connected with the royals of Shallmar so he could pass the throne to Anna?
